McDONALD’S GETS FRIED FOR TRUMP PR TRIUMPH

Did you see President Trump making fries and working the takeout window at a Pennsylvania McDonalds a few days ago?

Sure it was a stunt. Politics is full of these.

 

Trump’s stunt must have worked, because the Deep State is attacking McDonald’s now.

I have no dog in this fight because my favorite fast food joints are Arby’s and Domino’s Pizza. But wasn’t it ironic that within days, the Centers for Disease Control issued a “Food Safety Alert” about McDonalds Quarter Pounders?

Reportedly, people in some of the Great Plains states and Rocky Mountain States got sick after eating Quarter Pounders. McDonald’s execs, who know their supply chains, suspected contaminated onions from a single vendor that found their way to McDonald’s eateries in the states in question were to blame for the customers’ illnesses. They stopped serving Quarter Pounders in 12 states until forensic people find proof of the infected ingredient(s). The onions were shipped to McDonald’s locations in these 12 states.

Ironically, the CDC people, best known for covering up how the US government funded Chinavirus, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths of our countrymen and countrywomen, did not issue a recall or ban any sales of the popular menu item.

 

This came on the heels of an attack on the giant chain of burger joints by far leftist Dem Senators Ron Wyden (Oregon) and Elizabeth Warren (Massachusetts). Ms. Warren aka Lieawatha, who stole a scholarship from a student of American Indian ancestry by falsely claiming American Indian heritage (and whose white-trash ancestor helped forcibly remove American Indians to Oklahoma), and Wyden, whose millionaire wife profited from Chinavirus business paycheck money and still laid off close to 200 workers, accused McDonalds of jumping prices higher than the inflation rate to profiteer. Lapdog Bob Casey (D-PA) joined them, which was dumb, because he has been trying to paint himself as a working partner of Donald Trump during The Donald’s first term. He probably felt he had to do so because the McDonald’s place Trump made fries at is in the outskirts of Philadelphia metro area.

Problem is the cost of fuel, meat, and other grocery items have skyrocketed, as have mandates raising fast food workers’ pay. Another price inflator is crime – vandalisms, entitled customers trashing fast food places, homeless people taking over bathrooms and dining areas or panhandling, for example – all add costs to doing business in cities. All the fast food chains have raised their prices due to Bidenflation and Kamalacrime. Wyden, Biden, and Fraud hope you don’t see the relation between their policies and the much higher costs of just about everything.

Some leftist well-heeled virtue-signaling people claim they have gotten rid of their Tesla electric vehicles to spite Musk. Whatever … he made his money when his dealers sold the cars to the virtue signalers in the first place.

Now the Harris campaign’s shysters and the Justice Department’s shyster prosecutors are trying to bring charges against Musk for holding a raffle in which he gives $1 million every day to a person who signs a petition in support of the First and Second Amendments. These are the people who are criminally allowing illegals to register and vote. These are the people who are criminally fighting the removal of the dead and the moved-on and the fraudulently registered from voter rolls.

There is not enough room or time in this column to cover all the election tampering, voter roll manipulation, and other illegal interference going on across the swing states this election cycle. Understand the Dems are trying to steal these states by hook or by crook. The best thing you can do is vote, and encourage people to vote for Trump and a straight GOP party ticket to crowd out the Dems. I don’t like most Republicans, but virtually all Democrats in office or seeking office at this time will choose tyranny if it will benefit their party.

 

A large enough lead before Election Day coupled with great Trump people turnout on Election Day will make it harder for the bastards to steal the election. The key reason polling reports are so close now is to give the Dems cover for stealing on the false premise that the polls show the election was plausibly able to go to the Dems. This, after vote counting stops for awhile so the Dems in swing states can calculate what they’ll need to add in forged ballots to get things to go their way, after GOP people are barred from vote counting offices, and after drop boxes get jammed with fake votes, and truckers deliver hundreds of thousands of preprinted ballots to swing state boards of elections.

Elon Musk, in my humble opinion, should minimize Democrat vote cheating by offering a million dollars to any person who can inform and provide verifiable evidence of the following:

• cheating in ballot harvesting
• drop box stuffing
• registering for mass amounts of ballots from a single address (which has reportedly happened in Wisconsin
• counting dishonestly
• keeping out GOP observers
• threatening GOP observers
• stopping vote counting in the dead of night and restarting it without GOP observers or counters
• allowing the votes of the Democrats to get more weight than the votes of the Republicans (this can be done with some voting machines)
• switching electronic votes from Republican to Democrat
• delivering fraudulently printed and signed ballots (like was done by a truck driver in the 2020 Pennsylvania election)
• tampering with the military vote (and especially inflating it) to help Dems
• tampering with the overseas vote (and especially inflating it) to help Dems
• and any other electronic or other trick that dishonestly and criminally helps Democrats.

I have sent this to my contacts in the Trump campaign. I hope they act on it pronto to get this before the public, especially in the swing states, and give potential informers time to prep recording devices and footage taking devices.

The Democrat leaders in the swing states are in on any fix ordered. A million bucks will probably be less than consistent cash grifts and payoffs for staying on the team. But the low-level Democrat employees and volunteers might well seize on the chance to make life-changing money.

This could pre-emptively force Dem vote counting leaders in swing states to be less dishonest, because they will fear being narced out. Or it could provide evidence to overturn a fake result. And even if leftist media attack Musk for this, the words “Democrats” and “election fraud” will get drummed into the public consciousness by the leftists who would prefer not to talk about it.

A whistleblower revealed the Department of Homeland Security has let a contract for close to $350 million to a company to transport unaccompanied foreign children around the country.

“Clarissa Rippee, a Contract Specialist working in the General Services Administration (GSA) blew the whistle and exposed a $347 million contract for transporting unaccompanied minors.

“My line in the sand moment was when I found out that GSA had awarded a contract to a company to transport unaccompanied minors,” shared current General Services Administration (GSA) Contract Specialist Clarissa Rippee, revealing shocking details about a $347 million contract awarded to the company responsible for transporting unaccompanied minors across the United States. “It felt like someone kicked me in the gut,” Rippee told James O’Keefe.

Via O’Keefe Media Group:

Rippee, who works inside the General Services Administration (GSA), described the unaccompanied minors as being treated like “commodities… like potato chips on a truck.” The contract, which she highlights as an enormous “big money business,” involves moving children, often separated from their families, under inhumane conditions.

“What you know, you cannot unknow,” Rippee stated, saying that the horrifying conditions she witnessed inspired her to speak out: “It’s about the children, and it’s my duty now to speak up.”

Rippee also noted the troubling normalization of such activities within the government, saying, “It’s just an accepted part of the bureaucracy. But the reality is, this is exploitation, and it has to stop.” 

 

In another wrinkle, Louisiana officials are suing the federal government because the corruptocrats allowed

Republican Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill filed an “emergency lawsuit” against several Harris-Biden administration officials last week after a Chinese migrant with a rare form of tuberculosis illegally entered the US. 

The lawsuit seeks to prevent federal immigration officials from releasing “potentially infected detainees” that came in contact with the Chinese national – who has a “rare, aggressive, and drug-resistant form of tuberculosis which carries high mortality rates” – while she was in the custody of immigration and Customs Enforcement. 

“ICE has announced its intent to release potentially infected detainees from its two contract facilities [in Louisiana] — without being medically cleared by the Louisiana Department of Health — if an order requires release,” the complaint states.  

“By ICE’s telling, its hands are tied once its immigration-based detention authority runs out,” the lawsuit continues, warning that migrants who may have contracted the disease will be released “onto Louisiana streets, its bus stations, and its airports.”

“This is utterly wrong,” Murrill argues. “The Surgeon General’s standing orders require detainees at the two facilities in question to be held unless and until they are medically cleared by the Louisiana Department of Health.” 

Murrill estimates that over 200 detainees and “untold numbers of non-detainees” may have been exposed to the disease as the TB-infected migrant was flown by ICE from California to Louisiana and then shuttled between a detention center and processing facility.  …

The Chinese migrant – a woman whose name is redacted in the lawsuit – illegally crossed the US-Mexico border in April and was apprehended by federal authorities in California in July, according to the complaint. 

Despite apparently having the contagious disease, “three days later …”ICE moved [her] to the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center (‘the Basile facility’) in Basile, Louisiana,” where she was placed in “general population” – potentially exposing even more people to the pathogen. 

The woman tested positive at the Basile facility again in September and was hospitalized for “pre-extensively drug-resistant TB,” which Murrill notes “is highly resistant to both first- and second-line anti-TB medications, difficult to treat, and has a high mortality rate [between 34%-39%].” 

Louisiana did not learn of the “imminent threat to public health” until Oct. 9.”

 

The number of sex trafficking victims has risen dramatically since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were installed as two dim bulbs. Many Deep State people and those who fund them like fresh naked meat.

“Deep inside the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services resides a tiny agency called the Office on Trafficking in Persons. A large part of its mission is to help survivors of sex and labor trafficking “rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient.” Among other things, it offers food assistance, medical benefits, and cash to migrant minors who have been trafficked but have managed to escape. Once their eligibility to obtain benefits is approved, they receive a document called the child eligibility letter. 

Although the number of child eligibility letters the government issues is supposed to be public information, it became available on the trafficking office’s website only after I filed a Freedom of Information Act request. The numbers confirmed what Lisa (a woman who finds victims for the police) had told me: Trafficking has increased—a lot—since Biden took office. During the four years of the Trump administration, the government issued an average of 625 letters per year to migrant minors who had managed to break free from their traffickers.

But in 2021, the first year of the Biden administration, that number jumped to 1,143. In 2022 it jumped again, to 2,226. Last year, the number stood at 2,148, but that was only through September; the fourth quarter hadn’t yet been counted. To put it another way, forced labor and prostitution among underage migrants more than tripled under President Biden, reaching record highs. And that only counted the handful who had escaped—not the thousands who were still held by the traffickers, the ones Lisa was searching for.

 

“The sex trafficking of minors, and human trafficking as a whole, is one of the fastest-growing criminal enterprises in the U.S.,” said Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Mark Dawson after a big bust in Houston last year that saw the arrest of 10 traffickers, all of whom had gang connections.”

[COMMENT: The tripling of such victims since Biden and Harris were installed counts only those who got away. The Harris/Biden administration lost track of more than 300,000 unaccompanied alien children.]

How did the agents of Ellis Island handle immigration?

Because there are government records that are public and newspaper articles of events just after they happened, we can find out how they did their jobs. 99 and I looked at many of these public records at Ellis Island, in several New York records depositories, and from several other sources 15 to 20 years ago. 99 went into quasi-crypto mode when she deciphered one female agent’s shorthand notes that were in a system different than the shorthand women used later on in the 1900s, and provided her work to the historians at National Museum of Immigration on Ellis Island. As a result of accessing all this publicly-available info, I was able to write two Ellis Island history books.

 

What about immigrants with communicable diseases?

The Chinese woman with TB would have been sent back to China for sneaking into the country illegally. And even if she came here legally, she would be quarantined, or rejected for medical reasons. Shipping companies had to pay all expenses.

 

What about transportation of alien children?

In the Ellis Island Era, parents or relatives had to pick up children and teenagers. The toxic male patriarchy of Ellis Island Era America (the 1890s thru to the Great Depression) didn’t want the children to be kidnapping victims.

 

Annie Moore, the Irish girl whose statue on Ellis Island I and many other Americans of Irish blood paid for, was the first immigrant processed on Ellis Island. She was processed the morning of January 1, 1892. Annie wasn’t alone … she helped her two little brothers come to America. Annie had to wait with them until their parents came for them at Ellis Island.

“The new buildings on Ellis Island constructed for the use of the Immigration Bureau were yesterday formally occupied by the officials of that department. The employees reported at an early hour, and each was shown to his place by the Superintendent or his chief clerk. Col. Weber was on the island at 8 o’clock, and went on a tour of inspection to see that everything was in readiness for the reception of the first boatload if immigrants.

There were three big steamships in the harbor waiting to land their passengers, and there was much anxiety among the new-comers to be the first landed at the new station. The honor was reserved for a little rosy-cheeked Irish girl. She was Annie Moore, fifteen years of age, lately a resident of County Cork, and yesterday one of the 148 steerage passengers landed from the Guion steamship Nevada. Her name is now distinguished by being the first registered in the book of the new landing bureau.

The steamship that brought Annie Moore arrived late Thursday night. Early yesterday morning the passengers of that vessel were placed on board the immigrant transfer boat John E. Moore. The craft was gayly decorated with bunting and ranged alongside the wharf on Ellis Island amid a clang of bells and din of shrieking whistles.

As soon as the gangplank was run ashore, Annie tripped across it and was hurried into the big building that almost covers the entire island. By a prearranged plan she was escorted to a registry desk which was temporarily occupied by Mr. Charles M. Hendley, the former private secretary of Secretary Windom. He asked as a special favor the privilege of registering the first immigrant, and Col. Weber granted the request.

When the little voyager had been registered, Col. Weber presented her with a ten-dollar gold piece and made a short address of congratulation and welcome. It was the first United States coin she had ever seen and the largest sum of money she had ever possessed. She says she will never part with it, but will always keep it as a pleasant memento of the occasion. She was accompanied by her two younger brothers.”

[NOTE: The agents did not give out money to immigrants. But since Annie was the first of all to be processed and admitted, she was lucky.]

This account came from the 1/2/1892 New York Times. That means the workers of Ellis Island were working on New Year’s Day when they processed Annie, her brothers, and several hundred other LEGAL immigrants.

Annie and her brothers’ parents came for her and the agents at Ellis Island released Annie and the boys to them. They verified the IDs of the parents, and saw the obvious affection of Annie and the boys for their Mom and Dad.

 

What about sex trafficking victims?

Agents at Ellis Island and other immigration stations were on the lookout for sex trafficking. They held up single unaccompanied women until family or friends or immigrant aid societies of the women’s nationalities would come for these women (and in many instances the groups or the sponsors would have to place a bond). Theodore Roosevelt, the Unclinton, Unbush, Unobama, and Unbiden, while president increased the number of agents who fought what was called “white slavery” in that era. Actually, the agents on the West Coast were very good at intercepting and saving Chinese and Japanese women and girls bound for sexual slavery too. Agents also sought to protect Latina immigrants and black female immigrants from the West Indies. James Mann, an Illinois congressman, got the Mann Act aka the White Slave Traffic Act of 1910 passed and enforced in the Ellis Island Era. This federal law was aimed at crushing interstate pimping and trafficking. Mann designed the law to protect American-born girls and women of all colors too.

The godly Puritans also shamefully sold American Indians to the Barbary Pirates as slaves. European rulers paid tribute to the Barbary Pirates to protect their females from being taken captive. Thomas Jefferson, as president and as a good engineer, did a cost-benefit analysis and determined it would be less expensive to kill the pirate bastards than to pay them tribute, so our soldiers, sailors, and marines killed enough of them till they decided not to take American ships.]

“Gaining momentum two weeks from Election Day, Donald Trump is laser focused on voters’ top priority of making America safe and affordable again. But after spending hours comforting families victimized by murder, rape and other border crimes, the former president told Just the News he also is open to creating a federal compensation fund for Americans harmed by illegal immigrants let into the country under President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The idea of a border crimes reparations fund like the one created for the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks has been floating around conservative circles for months, including in Congress where Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., even introduced the concept before it stalled.

 

Asked Tuesday whether he was open to implementing the concept if voters on Nov. 5 returned him to the White House, Trump answered without ambiguity: “I am.”

“It was talked about, and then I guess people shut it down,” Trump said during a wide-ranging interview with the “Just the News, No Noise“ television show, recounting his many visits with families victimized by such crimes.  “I’ve met so many of the families. They’ve been just decimated by these people that are allowed to come into our country. The murderers and drug dealers and the worst people are allowed to come into our country. And they’re poisoning our country. … What Biden and Kamala have done to this country is unthinkable,” he said.”

[COMMENT: I have an idea where the money to fund reparations to victims of illegals’ crimes can come from. It can come from the countries where the illegals came from … in deductions from foreign aid or commerce. It can come from all the bonds posted for the criminals. It can come from the assets of every NGO and other contractors whose people took care of illegals. It can come from government employee union pensions. It can come from the campaign coffers of all politicians who were complicit in violating American law by allowing the illegals in. It can come from the personal assets of all politicians, government officials, and others found liable for letting the illegals in. It can come from George Soros’s political groups’ assets and his personal assets and the assets of all other cause groups who have advocated the illegal entry of all these aliens. Dereliction of duty convictions for government agents and officials can lead to prison and to massive fines.]

 

Donald Trump has also pledged to seek the death penalty for convicted sex traffickers. After a July 2023 screening of the anti-trafficking movie “Sound of Freedom,” Trump made the following statement, per his Agenda 47 website:

“I will urge Congress to ensure that anyone caught trafficking children across our border receives the death penalty immediately,” President Trump said.

As President, Donald J. Trump took historic action to combat human trafficking and will reinstate his successful policies once he returns to the White House.

“Under my leadership, we did more than any administration in history to combat human trafficking and to end modern day slavery,” President Trump said. “In one of my first acts in office, I signed an executive order targeting transnational criminal organizations that traffic and exploit innocent people. I signed the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act, authorizing $430 million to fight sex and labor trafficking.”

 

Earlier this week, President Trump hosted a screening of the new film Sound of Freedom at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.

The film is based on the true story of federal agent Tim Ballard’s mission to save children from child sex traffickers in Colombia.

On Thursday morning, (lead actor) Jim Caviezel and (producer Eduardo) Verástegui appeared on Fox & Friends to highlight the film’s success and President Trump’s impressive screening at Bedminster.

In the interview, Caviezel called President Trump “the new Moses” and said, “he’s got to be in there because he’s going to go after the traffickers.”

[COMMENT: President Trump did not at the time say he was including domestic traffickers as being eligible for the death penalty, but he can add them to the legislation. He can also add massive penalties for aiders and abettors, like the corporations who run hotels whoses managers look the other way when forced prostitution is involved.

He can also add massive penalties for the aiders and abettors who are the staffers and execs of Planned Parenthood. They provide birth control and abortions to working girls who are trafficked to help them get back to servicing customers more quickly … whether or not they want to. He can also have reduced or expelled from the service those FBI people and prosecutors who turned a blind eye to sex traffickers, and have prosecuted those feds who have been complicit in sex trafficking.]

 

FIRING FEDERAL EMPLOYEES MUST BECOME MUCH EASIER

Hidden in the news about The Donald at the McDonald’s and the illegal alien fiasco was the revoltin’ development that the Harris/Biden regime gave a collection of loafers, incompetents, and Nurse Ratcheds fired from the Veterans Administration tens of millions of dollars.

Per Fox News, 10/21/2024, this:

“A right-leaning research group is claiming that the Department of Veterans Affairs under the Biden administration back paid more than $130 million to 1,700 people fired under a Trump-era law that allows for easier accountability for federal employees.

Through Freedom of Information Act filings, the America First Policy Institute will soon release the results of its probe.

Its investigation also found the VA reinstated more than 100 terminated employees who were fired for indiscretions ranging from negligence to sleeping on the job. Dozens of dismissals accounted for in documents reviewed by Fox News Digital did not have other specific offenses listed with them.

Following the passage of the 2017 law, the VA reportedly failed to bargain with its public employee union and was ordered to attend arbitration. Because of this, according to a source familiar, the VA could have been required to rehire all previously terminated employees, including those fired for “grievous misconduct” like patient abuse or harassment.

The agency ultimately reached a settlement with the union in 2023 and only 106 out of 1,700 employees offered financial compensation so far have been reinstated.

 

The investigation found that of the more than 4,000 terminated employees, more than 1,700 received back pay or compensation.

At that rate, back pay to the entire group of former employees would total $300 million, a statement from AFPI read.

Former Trump VA Secretary Robert Wilkie said the current administration has “let down American veterans and taxpayers” with such actions.

“Those fired for mistreating American veterans should not even be allowed near the VA, much less reinstated,” said Wilkie, now a fellow at AFPI’s Center for American Security. 

“Instead of litigating these baseless grievances or working with Congress to strengthen the Accountability Act, the Biden-Harris administration surrendered to the government employee union. Taxpayers and veterans who receive care from poor performers will pay the price.”

Predictably, a spokesliar for the government blamed the Trump Administration for canning these dirtbags  instead of taking blame for failing to fight the hateful, shiftless, and lazy employees in court.

 

Meanwhile, the Harris/Biden Department of Justice shysters let the foreigners who collapsed the Francis Scott Key bridge over Baltimore Harbor get off the hook by offering a token settlement that covers about 5% of the damage they caused. Per CNN, 10/24/2024, this:

“The Justice Department has reached a settlement for more than $100 million with the two corporations that owned and operated the container ship that destroyed Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge in March.

 

As part of the settlement, Grace Ocean Private Limited and Synergy Marine Private Limited – two Singaporean companies – will pay nearly $102 million to resolve a civil claim alleging that the companies’ cost-cutting and negligence in the ship’s maintenance led to the disastrous collision.

The settlement comes more than six months after the 213-million-pound cargo vessel lost power and slammed into the bridge, resulting in the deaths of six construction workers.”

Most of the crew members of the ship reportedly came from India. It is estimated the bridge will cost $1.7 BILLION to $1.9 BILLION to replace. A billion here, a billion there, and soon, you’re talking real money.

 

One of President Trump’s first initiatives in his second term, if he can win enough votes to make the elections tamper-proof, is to make it easier to fire all feds, like those in the VA and the Justice Dept.

Back in the day, Andrew Jackson, a Democrat, sensibly fired most Federalist officeholders and replaced them with Democrats. He said most government jobs could be done by a person of average intelligence. He also said no federal jobholder had an innate right to the job, and his holding the job might keep a better man off the job for no valid reason.

This system worked reasonably well until the New Deal. Republicans fired Democrat jobbers, and Democrats fired Republican jobbers. The toilet got flushed after every power change. During the New Deal, a new breed of conniving leftist lawyers got into government with the aim of implementing their own policies, whether or not they had FDR’s okay. For example, FDR’s unelected people gave bomb-grade uranium and the plans for making atomic weapons to the Stalin regime thru the Lend-Lease program, even though FDR wasn’t okay with it. The feds electrocuted the Rosenberg couple in Sing Sing for doing less than what Harry Hopkins and other New Dealers did. The Rosenbergs were sincere Communists who didn’t get paid. The New Dealers did.

When General Eisenhower won the 1952 election, he was a disciple of efficiency. He started the Interstate Highway System because Hitler’s roads impressed him and his soldiers used them to advantage. The leftists knew how to con Ike. They said it was more efficient to retain people who had as much as two decades on the government payroll than it was to let newer people loyal to the GOP learn the jobs.

So Ike kept on the vast majority of the FDR/Truman Democrat feds. This would bite him in the ass when he tried to get things done that they opposed.

The federal bureaucracy has remained left of center since then. Most GOP leaders see a government job as a demotion. Most Democrat operatives see a government job as a promotion in power and influence. Over the years it got harder and harder to fire these bastards.

This bad concept is in place in many states too. For example, Jerry Sandusky was able to continue to draw his government teacher pension even after he was locked up for raping and molesting boys, many of them on the campus of Penn State, where he had worked.

If a president can only govern for a max of 10 years, then no bureaucrat should presume lifetime tenure and irremovability. The armed services can demote or can troops and officers who are judged incompetent or cowardly or treasonable in their service. This should be the standard for all civil servants.

 

RADIO KILL AMERICA? SOROS BUYS UP RADIO STATIONS WITH FCC HELP

An ugly last-minute push is the Federal Communication Commission’s decision to allow George Soros to buy 200 radio stations.

Per Casey Harper’s article in the New York Post, 9/30/2024, this:

“The U.S. House Oversight Committee is investigating why the Federal Communications Commission fast-tracked a deal that allowed a billionaire Democratic donor to buy a wide swath of American radio stations just weeks before the presidential election.

The major radio company Audacy Inc. fell into financial straits, but through a complex business deal, Democratic mega-donor and billionaire George Soros has gained control of the stations. Deals of this size require FCC approval, but in this case the FCC expedited the approval process.

Critics also point out that Soros’ business partners in the deal include significant funding from sources overseas.

“The Audacy, Inc. deal, which will lead to Audacy, Inc. being partially ‘directly or indirectly controlled’ by foreign individuals or entities holding ‘more than one-fourth of the capital stock’ will require FCC approval to determine whether ‘the public interest will be served by the refusal or revocation of such license,’” the letter said. “In carrying out this statutory mandate under the Communications Act, FCC has years-long established processes and procedures for adjudicating broadcast licenses in such situations, most recently updated in 2016.”

 

The FCC, you might recall, in 2018 held up Sinclair Broadcasting’s attempt to buy Superstation WGN in Chicago and 40 smaller TV stations that Chicago media company Tribune Company owned. Sinclair owned TV stations already in at least half the cities involved. Opponents argued Sinclair would get too big and would be similar to a monopoly if they didn’t divest the extra stations quickly. So Sinclair agreed to sell half of the stations in the deal to get WGN.

 Leftists spotted a possible right-of-center network forming, so they attacked Sinclair hammer and tongs.

President Trump favored the Sinclair move to obtain WGN and the remaining stations, but the government lawyers and the Deep State did not. Lawyers of the Justice Department, at the time headed nominally by Keebler Elf Jeff Sessions, attacked Sinclair Broadcasting for trying to acquire Superstation WGN.

The Tribune Company then got even bigger TV company Nexstar to do the buying. Despite the size of Nexstar, the FCC and the Justice Dept. allowed the sale of WGN and the other stations to the media giant. Unlike Sinclair, Nexstar’s principals are not known conservatives.

A too-kind Internet note on Google says George Soros became a wealthy financier by making money through hedge funds and investments based on his predictions of political and economic shifts.

[COMMENT: In other words, if Soros could mickey with a country’s political stability enough to harm its people, he could make money by betting against them and scooping up assets on the cheap.]

Soros’ business model is making money when the public loses. Soros bet against the Bank of England in 1992 and reportedly made a billion dollars in a single day when the British pound lost value, reportedly. Soros also made money betting against the currencies of Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia in the late 1990s.

Soros finances candidates for office like prosecutor or secretary of state to control prosecutions and elections.

Then there are niche offices that offer opportunities for control. Here’s an example:

A Second Amendment opponent who knows nothing about farming won a razor-thin and questionable victory to be Florida’s agricultural commissioner in 2018. Nikki Fried, a Democrat and a weapons opponent, has only one “agricultural experience” – she lobbied for marijuana growers. Her opponent and everyone who has held the office before her have been farmers or ranchers. As agricultural commissioner, Nikki would have control of processing concealed carry gun permits in the state. She was behind until Broward County doctored revised vote totals came in. Broward County officials deliberately missed a recount deadline that might have helped her opponent win. As commissioner, Fried tried to restrict gun ownership in the Sunshine State.

Supporting a hard leftist agenda increases crime, lowers the wealth of the people, and increases their misery, which benefits Soros.

For example:

When crappy prosecutors who Soros and his ilk have funded let crime run rampant in the cities, this dives the worth of property in the cities, which causes many people to sell short to get out of crime ridden cities. Then predatory real estate companies snap up the properties at reduced rates and turn them into rental properties, which squeezes out all too many lower-income people from buying homes.

Meanwhile, predatory and scavenger real estate companies can buy up properties in the suburbs and land in rural areas near cities, and jump the price of real estate to profiteer off of those escaping from the cities that Soros prosecutors have trashed by letting criminals run rampant.

Do Soros and his people have their tentacles in these real estate firms? If so, they are clearly profiteering off of widespread misery they caused.

Illegal immigration is a component of the crush of people in the cities, the rising crimes in the cities and towns, and the competition for housing.

As we have discussed in the Springfield, Ohio column, bringing in at least 10 million illegals to the United States in the past 4 years has put a massive crunch on available housing, which drives up real estate prices. Mayor Rob Rue and/or other businessmen the town are reportedly making big money off the ability of their real estate business to replace lower-income black and white Americans with Haitians and other relocated foreigners.

The feds will pay landlords several hundred dollars a person for relocated foreigners’ housing. So some of them are evicting Americans and replacing them with Haitians or other relocated foreigners, while their incomes bulge due to the overpayment of tax dollars for rent.

 

[OPINION: President Trump should get federal laws in place to limit the number of properties any person or corporation can own in an area. This will fight cartelistic rent gouging and redlining working Americans out of home ownership. It will also help food prices because farm prices won’t keep skyrocketing. He should also try to limit foreign ownership of American farmland and commercial properties and residences.

The latter might cost him some money because he owns overseas properties, but he would have an example to follow: Zachary Taylor, the first president to try to outlaw slavery, even though he was a slaveholder himself. Zachary Taylor was looking to add free states to the Union to stop slaveholder control of the Senate, and he was looking at William Seward and Abe Lincoln’s proposal to use federal money to buy the slaves free when he died under mysterious circumstances in 1850. Trump could have his foreign holdings quietly sold off, then make this move.]

Soros and his money also play heavily in certain referendums. Here in Ohio, he is behind Issue 1, an attempt to replace elected officials who redistrict the state with unelected functionaries who would redistrict the state.

Soros and his allies realize if they control redistricting, their unelected puppets can gerrymander Ohio to aid in electing more leftists. Soros and other out-of-state megadonors are dropping tens of millions of dollars into this effort to mickey with future elections in Ohio.

Every elected official is tempted to gerrymander to help his party. But elected redistricting officials can be voted out of office. The Soros germs cannot be.

 

HOW THE CLINTONS TURNED THE DEMOCRATS INTO THE FAT CAT PARTY

Soros is not the first plutocrat to try to buy influence. He is just one of the most pervasive, and he’s not even an American in culture or thought.

It used to be the GOP was the party of big business. But the Clintons decided to suck up to business in exchange for money.

 

The malefactors of great wealth (what Teddy Roosevelt would have called the Deep State plutocrats) soon figured out the Democrats were easier to bribe, errr, sway, errr, support with campaign money in exchange for getting government decisions or actions they want. So laws and regulatory decisions favoring the plutocrat donors’ interests became easier to get with Dems in charge.

Let’s say an Internet mogul or a computer operating system mogul wants to squeeze out his opposition. If he can get a friendly administration to ignore antitrust prosecution, he is in like Flynn. Ditto for companies who want to import foreign techs on visas illegally. If they can get friendly immigration officials and FBI leaders to refuse to enforce immigration laws or defense sensitive information laws, they are in like Flynn.

The Bushies catered to Wall Street and harmed Main Street to bring many big corporate donors back to the GOP. The leftward flow of money continued at an even greater pace after Bush 43 left the White House. McCain and Romney were globalists, but the Dems could deliver more. Trump smashed Jeb! and flipped the globalists the bird. Democrats now routinely outraise the GOP about 2:1 in national elections.

Follow the money trail.

Microsoft robber baron Bill Gates and Linkedin founder Reid Hoffman are two of the megarich friends of Jeffrey Epstein mocked by Elon Musk. He said they are donating so much money to Kamala because they fear a sex crimes prosecution if The Donald wins the election by a tamperproof margin.

 

Kamala is the logical result of the Clintons leading the Democrats away from the people. She has been a key reason skyrocketing housing, fuel, and grocery costs are devouring working people and immersing them in crime wave after crime wave. She is having trouble getting union support from the rank and file unless it is a government employee union. She is having trouble with black males because she locked up a lot of them on minor charges while she let rapists go free. In fact, Barack Obama is whining like a Karen at black men who don’t support Kamala the globalist sex puppet.

Kamala is a good deal like the prosecutors and state administrators George Soros and his ilk have put in charge. The numbers of crimes and victims soar. Liberties shrink. Elections get stolen. This is by design, as George Soros has been self-serving since his days as a teenager in Hungary. If Donald Trump wins re-election and survives all the assassination attempts, he should have Soros extradited to Hungary to face war crimes charges, and he should have Soros’ assets and those of his family derivative from him confiscated. There are competent forensic auditors who can get this done properly. And that ill-gotten money can go into the money pot for reparations for the victims of crimes committed by the pets of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and the Deep State and their funders like Soros.

Crickets on this story from the leftist news networks and even Fox. Fox News’ owners are okay with Kamala being installed because they are plutocrats who are players in the globalists’ world order. Virginia and her husband and children at last report were living somewhere in Western Australia.

IMHO, If Kamala is installed, girls and young women will be more at risk for rape because foreigners whose societies allow rape will rise in numbers in this country. Also, rapists who have jobs in the public schools will continue to get Kamala’s protection. Fox Business reporter Sarah Rumpf Whitten, 10/22/2024, reported Gates donated at least $50 million to a group that spearheads Ms. Kamala’s campaign fundraising efforts, according to sources of the New York Times.

On 10/23/2024, Forbes reporter Derek Saul noted in an article that more than 80 billionaires had given sizeable amounts to campaign entities supporting Kamala Harris. About 50 billionaires, he added, donated to the campaign of President Trump.

 

Forbes reported Alison Durkee on 10/25/2024 noted this:

“The Biden—now Harris—campaign committee has raised $997.2 million and Trump’s campaign committee raised $388 million in total between Jan. 2023 and Oct. 16, 2024, the most recent date for which Federal Election Commission filings are available, ending with $118 million and $36.2 million in cash on hand, respectively.

The Harris Victory Fund—which raises money for both Harris’ campaign and Democratic groups—raised $1.2 billion this election cycle, according to a FEC filing released Thursday.

Trump’s National Committee JFC, which raises money for Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee, took in only $375.3 million during this election cycle, while the ex-president’s Trump 47 Committee, a different joint fundraising committee that collects funds from bigger donors, raised $327.5 million.”

Who do you think is more beholden to large donors? The candidate who was installed by rich donors? Or the candidate who is richer than most rich donors and is being opposed by most rich donors?

Back of envelope analysis: Kamala’s rich backers so far have given her (and before her, Biden, but nowhere near as much for his failed campaign) and the Democrat apparatchiks half a BILLION more dollars than Trump’s small donors (more than half of his campaign money) and rich backers have given him and the RNC. Yet with a month to go in the campaign, she and her people burned thru all but about $100 million of the $1.2 BILLION dollars they bagged, and Kamala has dropped behind The Donald in most swing state polls.

The Donald runs his mouth. But he also is a doer who backs up his boasts and is usually right in his trash talk. Most politicians aren’t.

Kamala is reduced to name-calling Trump and pimping abortion. Abortion gets pimps’ and sex traffickers’ working girls back on the job quicker. And abortion enables rich guys to have their mistresses and nannies debabied so they can play without care. What a way to try to win an election fairly.

Federal and New York government agents have convicted Trump on trumped-up charges. They have made moves to steal his money and reduce the value of his assets.

The feds have raided Trump’s mansion like fascists, and in the process some of them pawed thru his wife’s bras and panties like high school jag-offs. Melania threw all her intimate apparel out to keep their germs and social diseases away from her.

Federal officials and agents have allowed or goaded people to shoot Trump or try to shoot him on multiple occasions. They are also sitting on the investigations into the attempts on Trump’s life, leading many to conclude the feds are complicit in these attacks.

Coverage by the kept media is overwhelmingly negative against Trump. They are trying to steal multiple state elections from him, but his margins are increasing to the point that they will have trouble getting enough fraudulent ballots cast in the names of non-voters on the rolls to steal the elections.

Donald Trump is the largest obstacle to Deep State rule of the United States. This is why they are attacking him from so many directions. And yet he may very well, with the help of the American people, win re-election as president.

Donald Trump is no angel.

But he is not a servant of satanic causes, like so many of his adversaries are.

 

Donald Trump is still standing, and he is still defiant. And he stands a good chance of winning, especially if he garners enough votes in the swing states to make those elections tamper-proof.

This is no time to panic, or to gloat. Assume your vote will decide the election. Go out and vote. Your future and your family’s future and this nation’s future as a free republic depend on your action.

 

FINAL THOUGHTS

I grew up detesting Communism and training to fight that ideology as a soldier. But to call our leftist and Deep State adversaries in America “Communists” is to give them status they do not deserve.

The Russian people and the peoples of the affiliated Soviet “republics” worked hard and gave up millions of lives in the upbuilding of their lands. In the former Soviet Union, Communism was a force of Russian nationalism. There has always been more of a “collective” approach among the people of Russia than among the people of America, even during the times of the Tsars. It came from necessity, from having to defend themselves from Asian empire and Moslem empire attempts to enslave and murder them. Certainly many of the acts of the Communists were objectively evil. However, in many ways the Communists continued the nationalistic policies of the Tsars with much better success. They made Russia powerful and resistant to European tampering. They invested real labor and real pain. Russia stopped being a country the European imperial powers exploited.

Our leftist adversaries and Deep State adversaries are nowhere near as dedicated or willing to sacrifice for our land as the Communists were for the Soviet Union. They are merely punks who want to rule and exploit without having to give anything in return, and without having to subject themselves to danger. Many of them want to sexually exploit women, girls, and boys. Don’t call them “Communists.” Instead, call them “crooks” and “shitheads” and “perverts.”

A lot of my takes come from my upbringing. Dad and my uncles and their friends taught me how to be tough. I was a 97-pound 4-eyed weakling, but then I decided to try to be tougher like them. I practiced boxing and other self-defense skills as hard as I studied in school. And it paid off in spades for me. But I had good examples to follow. These great men, all veterans of wars against Nazis, Jap imperialists, or Asian Communists, also taught me carpentry, car repair, electrical work, plumbing, and horticulture.

Grandpa Charlie taught me the rudiments of investigation, which has helped me lead an interesting life. The nuns and lay teachers of Saint Genevieve Elementary School taught me history, religion, and heritage, along with reading, writing, and arithmetic. To them I will always be grateful, even though I was far from a good kid.

 

Love of faith, spouse, family, nation, and heritage has carried me thru many rough times in my life.

We need to embrace history, instill a love of country in our young people, and learn from history. This is the job that we as Dads and Moms, Uncles and Aunts, Grandpas and Grandmas, and Family Friends must do.

And we must starve the public schools from kindergarten to the universities until they stop their war upon America. Fund math and hard sciences (and make sure comparative anatomy is taught properly), not crazy social studies programs with their leftist agitprop apparatchiks.

When it comes to your nation and your loved ones, you are your own first responder. Not counting the direct intervention of God, an alert, active, and armed public is our best defense against the abuses of the officeholders and those who pull their strings.

Newsweek Magazine grudgingly reported 10/9/2024 the Trump family housed 275 linemen at Trump’s Trump Doral Miami resort and did so for free.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris, before drinking beer with TV host Steven Colbert during a softball interview, also found time to do a sex podcast.

 

KAMALA FINALLY TALKS ABOUT SOMETHING SHE KNOWS

Some attacked Kamala Harris for appearing on the sex podcast “Call Her Daddy” with professional skank Alex Cooper (female) last week while many thousands of people in the Southern Appalachians and nearby are suffering, and hundreds have died. However, Kamala or her handlers thought it was a good idea because she could get the young female listeners of that show to come out to vote for her.

These past few days have brought Hurricane Helena, a horribly tragic lethal and destructive storm, to the people of Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, and West Virginia, and people in the Appalachian portions of Kentucky and Virginia.

 

Tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of people may be isolated.

Donald Trump showed up in Georgia Monday Sep. 30, visited victims and volunteers, worked with fellow big money businesspeople and many people of modest means to provide millions of dollars of aid to the afflicted. Elon Musk started providing commo links to the affected areas to help the residents and the first responders.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden was figuratively drooling on himself on a Delaware beach chair and Kamala Harris was out soliciting donations from Democrat sugar daddies and mommas like a lap dancer.

Reports are coming in from everyone from Elon Musk to many volunteers on the ground who are saying the Harris/Biden regime’s FEMA are actively interfering in hurricane relief in North Carolina.

Some Democrat mucky-mucks think the hurricane will help them carry North Carolina in the election in a few weeks because most of the victims who are isolated are presumably Trump voters.

Meanwhile FEMA spent more than a billion dollars in the past year or so sheltering illegals so the Harris/Biden regime says they can’t give Americans hurricane disaster relief. Overall, illegal immigration costs the people of this nation tens of billions of dollars a year. This doesn’t count the life costs of murders or rapes or other violent crimes, or the costs of  property crimes to the victims of such crimes committed by non-citizens the Harris/Biden regime sides with.

Over the weekend Kamala announced her regime is sending close to $200 million to Lebanese people caught up in the war between the Israelis and those embedded like termites and roaches in Lebanon who have been firing rockets at Israel. This comes on the heels of her promising $750 vouchers to hurricane victims who have lost everything. (And they don’t have phone or computer service, so they can’t use the government ap.  Maybe the people of North Carolina can rename their battered state West Ukraine and the people of Georgia can rename their drenched state South Lebanon. They might get help quicker.

INSTIGATING ASSASSINATION HAS GONE LEFTIST MAINSTREAM

Ever since mid-July, when the Deep State used a 20-year-old loser with apparent alternate lifestyle issues as a pawn to try to kill President Trump in Pennsylvania, there have been one or more attempts against his life. (The pawn or the other sniper did kill Corey Camperatore and wounded two others at the Butler County, PA rally.)

 

One was at Trump’s golf course in Florida in mid-September. Ryan Wesley Routh, a career thief who had multiple violent felony convictions to go along with his misdemeanor convictions, was living in Hawaii and somehow obtained a military rifle and scope, got a tip from someone (IMHO someone drawing federal paychecks) that Trump would be playing an unannounced round of golf at his course in South Florida, was able to hide out on the premises for half a day without being detected by Secret Service agents, was discovered by a Secret Service agent who was only a few feet from him, and escaped because the agent couldn’t hit him from 15 to 20 feet away. (No thanks to the SS or other feds, but thankfully for justice, bystanders got a pic of Routh’s vehicle’s license plate, local sheriffs flooded the highways with deputies and they stopped the would-be assassin.)

The hundreds of millions of Chinese-made microwaves, kitchen appliances, and consumer electronics in people’s homes could be ticking timebombs.

So could the contents of their medicine cabinets, without any electronic explosives. A lot of pharmaceuticals are Chinese-made, with little to no quality control on dosages or additives.

Chinese-made drywall sickened at least 100,000 people  when builders installed it in their homes. They were making it out of fly ash, which contains a lot of compounds that emit toxic vapors, especially in closed areas when it is warm. Many sufferers were Florida and Louisiana residents whose housing was rebuilt after hurricanes by the low bidder on a number of insurance programs.

What about all the garments from China, especially women’s garments, that could be dusted with compounds that would make people itch or suffer some level of poisoning when their skin or genitalia contact them?

Kamala Harris is hoping to win on her vibe. Which leads to this reach-out to quite a few of her likely voters. I don’t want to take this column into X-rated territory, but the Chinese sell many vibes in this country. Including “smart vibes” that track the use and response of females who use them, and store the data with an app. At the very least, these devices could be blackmail devices. At the very worst, they could cause explosions of a kind different from what was intended by the purchaser.

An administrator with the Clark County, Ohio animal shelter (where Springfield’s mistreated, abandoned, or given-up animals go for adoption or elimination) sent me an e-mail saying:

“We do not record the racial/cultural/native or non-native status of any complaints that we have investigated.”

This is how they can claim they haven’t gotten any complaints about Haitians. They don’t track them. They don’t care to know.

President Trump survived another assassination attempt. This guy survived, and bystanders got pictures of his getaway vehicle. Florida lawmen caught him. Unfortunately they turned him over to the FBI, so the coverup will continue.

 

Bubblehead pop star Taylor Swift calls herself a childless cat lady and has endorsed Kamala Harris.

A day or so later, Martha Stewart, presumably taking a break from sand painting with used Pretty Litter, did likewise.

Good thing they don’t live in Springfield, Ohio. It’s rumored Kamala’s Haitian guests would consider their kitties a food group.

 In his debate against Kamala Harris and the activists, errr, moderators of ABC, Donald Trump mentioned some of the “immigrants” to Springfield, Ohio were eating pets.

David Muir, the ABC activist, errr debate moderator who may identify as male, claimed the city manager of Springfield said this was not true. Donald Trump replied of course a city manager would say that because family pets disappearing into immigrant barbecues is not a good look for the city’s government and social leaders.

The ABC moderators made a number of false statements to oppose Donald Trump. Their claim that pets weren’t being killed by immigrants was one.

Another lie was their claim that crime has gone down during the Biden/Harris regime from the start of 2021 to the present. President Trump said the FBI was lying because they didn’t get stats from a large number of heavily populated cities.

The jig was up.

 On 6/27/2024, Joe Biden spazzed and brain-locked in his debate against President Donald Trump. His handlers couldn’t keep the American public from seeing a confused old man who looked like he wandered away from a rest home for career criminals.

 So the Deep State had to adopt sterner measures to prevent President Trump from returning to office.

 They allowed or arranged for person(s) to shoot President Trump at a rally in Butler County, PA on 7/13/2024.

 Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, a misfit with two social worker parents, reportedly just missed murdering Donald Trump as he spoke at the rally. The shooter or shooters shot three other men also. One of them, Corey Comperatore, died of a massive gunshot wound while shielding his wife and his daughter.

 

 

Since the FBI took over the investigation, we assume it will be botched and they will lie.

There is no word on whether the FBI found the bullets that struck Donald Trump, Corey Comperatore, David Dutch, or James Copenhaver. There is no word whether the AR-15 Crooks’ social worker dad (in whose house he lived and made bombs at) sold him was the weapon that fired all these bullets.

 

 

Was a second shooter aiming along a similar axis responsible for some of these shots?

The FBI quietly released Crooks’ body and Crooks’ parents had it cremated. No clues here either.

If the Deep State is proven to have taken part in this attempt on President Trump’s life, they will all escape justice if President Trump gets cheated out of the 2024 election or if another attempt on his life is successful. But instead of dwelling on the extent of the Deep State’s involvement in the attempt to murder President Trump, let’s proceed to the present.

 Donald Trump survived the murder attempt. He made a triumphant return at the Republican National Convention days later (7/18/2024). He did so well that neverTrumpers falsely claimed he hadn’t been shot.

Due to the failure of the murder plot against Donald Trump, the Deep State had to act quickly.

Deep State donors held back their money from Joe and Jill Biden and other Dem politicians let him know they would force him out of office if he didn’t step aside. Joe quit 7/21/2024.

 

The Bidens turned his delegates and campaign money over to Kamala Harris.

 Party bosses installed Kamala as the nominee in early August 2024 and confirmed the switchout at the Democratic National Convention later in August 2024.

 

So, without a vote of registered Dem voters, the party leaders installed Kamala Devi Harris, the daughter of a high-caste female doctor from India, into the driver’s seat of a remote controlled campaign vehicle. (Her father, half black and half white with Jamaican heritage, was a college professor. She lived with her mother after her parents divorced.) They are hoping she doesn’t wreck the campaign clown car before they can manufacture enough votes to install her in the White House as the dimmest bulb ever.

 The creators of Rocky and Bullwinkle couldn’t have come up with a loonier plot. And those guys were inventive. They even created the character “Stokey the Bear,” a government employee who lit forest fires!

Then Election Day next week.

Will Rogers once said on Halloween people wear pumpkins on their heads.

This Election Day, for anyone who loves his or her family and loves his or her country, should be Punishment Day.

It is obvious the Democrats (aka the Copperheads) are the party of leftist rioters, child molesters, and family haters. They brought us big inflation in food and gas and housing, big tax increases to pay out their greedy program runners, fascist mask and VAX mandates, war provocations and trillions of dollars of gunrunning to the regime in Ukraine whose fixers appear to be selling lots of weaponry to other countries at a premium, loafing teachers who refuse to return to schools, millions of illegals – many of whom who are carrying in drugs and trafficking victims and committing other crimes, and perverts in our schools and libraries doing drag shows and feeling up kids like Joe Biden likes to do For starters.

Both parties have sex offenders. The Democrats are more sex offender friendly because their top leaders have included sex offenders like Bill Clinton, Teddy Kennedy, Joe Biden, Harvey Milk (who abused boys), Brock Adams, and Janet Reno (who abused girls). Also, the lawyers of the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center have their share of pervs. Morris Dees, the founder of the SPLC, was credibly accused of sexual harassment of multiple young women staffers and tolerating a climate of racial discrimination and sexual harassment. He left the Southern Poverty Law Center under a cloud in 2019. Many big Dem donors like Harvey Weinstein and Ed Buck (the homosexual activist who just drew a 30-year sentence for double homicide of black men in his residence) are also practicing pervs.

Christmas 2021 is a quiet one in the Sherlock household.

Agent 99 and I didn’t travel this year, as the airlines are in the grip of the CovidNazis and too many motels are germ-ridden pestholes, especially during the holiday season. Too many people in America doesn’t rate basic hygiene or child discipline as good ideas anymore, and most of the help are illegal, underpaid, or from lands where cow pies are used for cooking food.

We went to Mass, had pecan pie and coffee for brunch, and watched a little of the Olympic trials in Lake Placid, NY.  We will spend the next several days working, calling friends, spending prayer time for us all, and ensuring gifts got to their recipients.

I was hoping to see our half-pipers, the Olympians most likely to test positive for cannabis, dude. But they had cross country skiing and ski-jumping on instead. Hopefully our female athletes will be good enough to win and ugly enough not to be kidnapped and used as sex slaves by Chinese officials. They know Joe Pudding and those who control him won’t protect our girls and the Euros won’t protect their girls from their top pervs.

 

SCHOOL CORRUPTION – YET ANOTHER REDUNDANCY

The Southeastern Conference has recently developed a behavioral code much like the Mafia’s Omerta for football that hides their “indiscretions” …. unless the indiscretion involves coaches and coeds (Arkansas, Auburn) or coaches and wives of powerful school officials (LSU, allegedly), so none of the cheaters gets punished. But the Southern Cal Trojans maintained questionable and/or illegal standards for college football as their incoming coach Lincoln Riley, who is sidewinding away from upcoming games in the Southeastern Conference and is heading west to California like a televangelist, has apparently tried or succeeded at using Oklahoma taxpayer money in moving some kids committed to Oklahoma to his new team at Southern Cal.

Riley will need a lot of new players. It turns out 36 Trojan footballers reportedly cheated the coronavirus lost income fund out of more than $900,000 — about $25K apiece. The FBI is investigating, allegedly.

The NCAA may or may not add penalties. Right now they are excited watching guys pretending to be girls competing with girls in swimming, wrestling, and other sports without undergoing sex change surgeries.

And the NCAA grifters, err, officials, have been squeezably soft on colleges with sexual abuse of athletes and coeds (Michigan State, Ohio State, USC, and UCLA come to mind). Penn State got punished a little because their key officials weren’t smart enough to cover for Jerry Sandusky with bribes to the NCAA and the PA attorney general. Obama hired State Penn president Graham Spanier – a known deviate – after the case broke open to be a consultant. Spanier was convicted for covering up for Sandusky, but only did several weeks in the Centre County PA jail. Kathleen Cain, who became PA attorney general after the Sandusky case broke open, went to jail for several months for leaking grand jury info, lying about the leaking, and essentially trying to spy on the investigators of the case against her.

Against this backdrop of college sexual abuse and corruption, the Faucivirus disruption exposed the greed, laziness, and child-hating tendencies of far too many public school teachers. They don’t want to teach and offer extra help to kids in person, they want to stay and home and mail it in doing on-line lecturing, and they demand children wrap their faces like Moslem slave girls in their presence.

Public school teachers have been caught belittling and physically abusing children, teaching them hateful lies about their country, and failing to do their jobs of teaching to at least some standard of competence and objectivity.

That doesn’t count all the child molesting they have been doing.

I have not written in several weeks because I have been spending a lot of time pulling public records from state education departments. I am trying to identify all the scumbags who got license revocations or other administrative punishment for sexual abuse of children or other ugly crimes.

So far I have targeted the top 20 states populationwise. Texas officials have already delivered their records on thousands of public school pervs they took educator licenses from. Officials in California, New York, and Florida have acknowledged my request and are in various stages of getting the records together, I would hope. Pennsylvania officials, who typically release very little, have released good records so far. Illinois officials claim they keep such records back only a few years, and released records on relatively few of their offenders. I am aware of several hundred Chicago teachers who are credibly accused child molesters.

Michigan and Wisconsin officials have released their records. Ohio officials are having their database reprogrammed to show what the teachers on the discipline list did to deserve to be there. They currently keep such info separate from the other teacher discipline records. It took some prodding from me to get the info integrated. To their credit, however, it is possible to see detailed paperwork on many Ohio teachers’ discipline cases on line.

Indiana officials are lagging. I hope to see their records soon.

North Carolina and Virginia officials released their records. Georgia officials want some serious money for their records. There is a reason “Night the Lights Went out in Georgia” wasn’t about some other Southern state. Georgia has a long and gloomy history of official corruption, to include the theft of the 2020 election.

Washington officials released their records. Arizona officials are dawdling somewhat but have not ruled out releasing anything.

Officials in Maryland haven’t deigned it necessary to reply to my request. One more entry for my to-do list. A Massachusetts official got back to us saying they would send records in the ballpark for what I am looking.

Tennessee records are not automatically open to out-of-staters. This may have allowed authorities to keep the Martin Luther King murder records away from the public and threaten Tennesseans who would have dared to request them. It is not unlawful for Tennessee officials to release such records to “furriners” but unfortunately too many Tennessee government officials don’t care to share the sunshine laws with people from states other than Tennessee. That state has had some ugly scandals over its history. I have reapplied using the researcher exemption.

Virginia officials oftentimes can be similarly mulish about the release of public records to outsiders, but when I told them I was trying to identify teachers who shouldn’t get credentials after committing sex crimes, they relented. Hopefully they are trying to live down their state’s past oppression of blacks and their forced sterilizations of Carrie Buck and tens of thousands of other poor girls, many of whom were rape or incest victims.

Officials in New Jersey and Missouri have refused to release such records.

In Missouri the problem seems to be a dork of a lawyer in the state’s teacher licensing office.

In New Jersey, the problem appears deeper. They act entitled. Also, it’s hard for them to solicit and collect a bribe by email.

I will let you know how the project progresses, and then I will go after the other 30 states. Together, the bottom 30 states populationwise have no more than 30 to 33 percent of the nation’s people.

 

THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT MAY BE RETURNING

Starting with a black soul music station in Dayton on the day after Thanksgiving, I have heard more religious Christmas carols on the radio this Christmas season than at any time since the start of the century. Even some radio station programmers have figured out the resident of the White House is an installed puppet who crapped his pants in front of the pope, and the cabal running the country are full of narcissistic sociopaths who want to kill old people and sexually abuse children and young women.

Europe is in the same grip of the globalists, but even more so, since they don’t have traditions of self-reliance like we have. Their revolutions replaced kings with bloodthirsty bureaucrats like Cromwell and Robespierre and the Paris Commune and the Communists and Mussolini and the satanic gutter leftists in Spain, and the Weimar perverts followed by Hitler and the Nazi perverts.

Bishop Carlo Vigano, the Italian Catholic leader who was papal nuncio (ambassador) to America, loves the historic independence of America and has been praying constantly for America’s return. He is in correspondence with President Trump and his people. He realizes the Christian nationalists of Europe will need a strong and independent America to throw off the leftist vermin who control them. Bishop Vigano took the Vatican government from bankruptcy into surpluses. He also outed sexual abusers among the bishops and exposed corruptocrats handling the Church’s finances. Any denomination would want a man who serves God and the people, not the corrupt ones in the hierarchy.

These Slavic girls are clothed as Angel, Devil, and Saint Nicholas. In Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, and many other nations of Europe, Saint Nicholas is the present bearer for children. Saint Nicholas, the bishop of Myra, fought child murderers and sex traffickers in his diocese in what is now Turkey. In Scandinavia and in parts of Italy, which was her homeland, Saint Lucy is the saint of gift giving. In many Scandinavian homes, the oldest girl of the family, when she becomes a teenager, wears a crown with lit candles and distributes sweets to all. (See below.) This is a re-enactment of Saint Lucy wearing a crown of candles on her head so she could see in the darkness of the Catacombs and still have an extra hand to carry more food to the Christians in hiding. St. Nicholas suffered imprisonment during the persecution of Emperor Diocletian but survived until Constantine rescued the Christians and died in the 340s AD. The pretty, kind, and brave Saint Lucy was either speared in the throat or beheaded during the persecution of Emperor Diocletian in the early 300s AD. The peoples of Eastern Europe, who have battled Asian hordes, militant Islam, Nazism, and Communism, now fight secularism and globalism. The evil politicians of Scandinavia have let Moslems flood into their lands, and the girls and young women now are at constant risk of being raped and knifed. In Eastern Europe, the politicians are at least holding the line, as those of authority have tried to do in those lands for hundreds of years. Only patriotism and legitimate religious faith and deeds can save the Christian and Jewish peoples of Europe and the Americas.

 

Vigano was sent to America as punishment for his willingness to stomp on the corruptocrats. He didn’t want to leave Europe. But his time in American exile as papal nuncio served him and us well. He learned greatly about Americans’ traditional independence, and our historical willingness to clip government people who get tyrannical. He saw day to day how a nation of Jews and many Christian denominations can function. Bishop Vigano engineered the meeting between Pope Francis and Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who refused to issue licenses for same-sex unions. This enraged the fageles and the militant pervs in government, media, academia, Hollywood, organized religion, and elsewhere.

Vigano is now in retirement, and can continue his outreach to President Trump and to American and European nationalists. He is an implacable foe of the globalists.

For two years now, a global coup has been carried out all over the world, planned for some time by an elite group of conspirators enslaved to the interests of international high finance.

    And it is disconcerting to see how the lack of treatment, the deliberately wrong treatments that have been given in order to cause more deaths, the decision to impose lockdowns and masks, the conspiratorial silence about the adverse effects of the so-called “vaccines” that are in fact gene serums, and the continuous repetition of culpable errors have all been possible thanks to the complicity of those who govern and the institutions.

    Political and religious leaders, representatives of the people, scientists and doctors, journalists and those who work in the media have literally betrayed their people, their laws, their Constitutions, and the most basic ethical principles.

    The electoral fraud of the 2020 presidential election against President Trump has shown itself to be organic to this global operation, because in order to impose illegitimate restrictions in violation of the principles of law it was necessary to be able to make use of an American President who would support the psycho-pandemic and support its narrative.

    How was it possible to arrive at such a betrayal? How have we come to be considered enemies by those who govern us, not in support of the common good, but rather to feed a hellish machine of death and slavery?

    In the name of this insane freedom — which is license and libertinage — we have allowed the Law of God and the law of nature to be violated, legitimizing the killing of children in the womb, even up to the very moment of birth; the killing of the sick and the elderly in hospital wards; the destruction of the natural family and of Marriage; we have recognized rights to vice and sin, putting the deviations of individuals before the good of society.

    His social Kingship was the generating principle of the ordo Christianus that for two centuries now has been fiercely fought against by Freemasonry: because the Revolution it promotes is chaos; it is disorder; it is infernal rebellion against the divine order so as to impose Satan’s tyranny.

    Now, as we see what is happening around us, we understand how mendacious were the promises of progress and freedom made by those who destroyed Christian society, and how deceptive was the prospect of a new Tower of Babel, built not only without regard for God but even in direct opposition to Him.

    The infernal challenge of the Enemy is repeated over the centuries unchanged, but it is doomed to inexorable failure.

    Behind this millennial conspiracy, the adversary is always the same, and the only thing that changes are the particular individuals who cooperate with him.

    Dear American brothers and sisters! Dear Patriots! this is a crucial moment for the future of the United States of America and of the whole of humanity.

    But the pandemic emergency, the farce of global warming and the green economy, and the economic crisis deliberately induced by the Great Reset with the complicity of the deep state, are all only the consequence of a much more serious problem, and it is essential to understand it in depth if we want to defeat it.

    This problem is essentially moral; indeed, it is religious.

    We must put God back in the first place not only in our personal lives, but also in the life of our society.

    We must restore to Our Lord Jesus Christ the Crown that the Revolution has torn from Him, and in order for this to happen a true and profound conversion of individuals and of society is necessary.

    For it is absolutely impossible to hope for the end of this global tyranny if we continue to remove from the Kingdom of Christ the nations that belong to Him and must belong to Him.

    For this reason, the movement to overturn Roe v. Wade also acquires a very important meaning, since respect for the sacredness of unborn life must be sanctioned by positive law if it is to be a mirror of the Eternal Law.

    You are animated by a yearning for justice, and this is a legitimate and good desire. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,” says the Lord (Mt 5:6).

    But this Justice must be based on the awareness that this is a spiritual battle in which it is necessary to take sides without equivocation and without compromise, holding transcendent and eternal references that even the pagan philosophers glimpsed, and that have found fulfillment in the Revelation of the Son of God, the Divine Master.

    My appeal for an Anti-Globalist Alliance — which I renew today — aims precisely to constitute a movement of moral and spiritual rebirth which will inspire the civil, social and political action of those who do not want to be enslaved as slaves to the New World Order.

    A movement that at the national and local level will be able to find a way to oppose the Great Reset and that coordinates the denunciation of the coup that is currently in progress.

    Because in the awareness of who our adversary is and what his aims and purposes are, we can disrupt the criminal action he intends to pursue and force him to retreat.

    In this, the opposition to the pandemic farce and the vaccination obligation must be determined and courageous on the part of each of you.

    Yours must therefore be a work of truth, bringing to light the lies and deceptions of the New World Order and their anti-human and antichristic matrix.

    And in this it is mainly the laity and all people of good will — each in the professional and civil role he holds — who must coordinate and organize together to make a firm but peaceful resistance, so as not to legitimize its violent repression by those who today hold power.

    Be proud of your identity as American patriots and of the Faith that must animate your life.

    Do not allow anyone to make you feel inferior just because you love your homeland, because you are honest at work, because you want to protect your family and raise your children with healthy values, because you respect the elderly, because you protect life from conception to its natural end.

    Do not be intimidated or seduced by those who propagate a dystopian world in which a faceless power imposes on you contempt for the Law of God, presents sin and vice as licit and desirable, despises righteousness and Morality, destroys the natural family and promotes the worst perversions, plans the death of defenseless and weak creatures, and exploits humanity for its own profit or to preserve power.

    Be worthy heirs of the great Archbishop Fulton Sheen, and do not follow those of your Pastors who have betrayed the mandate they have received from Our Lord, who impose iniquitous orders on you or who remain silent before the evidence of an unheard of crime against God and humanity.

    May this Holy Christmas illuminate your minds and inflame your hearts before the Infant King who lays in the manger.

    And just as the choirs of the Angels and the homage of the Magi united with the simple adoration of the Shepherds, so also today your commitment to the moral rebirth of the United States of America — one Nation under God —will have the blessing of Our Lord and will gather those who govern you around you. Amen.

Reading about Bishop Vigano’s most recent work got me to thinking yesterday about another Italian priest, this one fictional, who loved his country and was friendly to America.

Don Camillo, the character created by Giovanni Guareschi, the Italian officer in WWII, POW of the Nazis, journalist, POW of the Italian government after WWII, and controversial author, cartoonist, and humorist, was the subject of six of Guareschi’s books.

Mr. Wilks, my 9^th grade English teacher at St. Genevieve High School, introduced us to Don Camillo and his cast of rivals. Don Camillo fought in WWI, ran a parish in  northern Italy and ministered to the Partisans during WWII, and butted heads after the war and through the 1960s with Mayor Peppone, the Communist mayor of their little town. Peppone, who was a mechanic by trade, was a WWI soldier who served with Don Camillo and a WWII Partisan leader. They grew up together and were friends despite their political differences, most of the time, anyway.

Guareschi illustrated his books with cartoons. He showed Don Camillo as a mischievous angel and the Communists as devils.

 

Don Camillo was like my father in that he was big, loud, tough, and settled a number of disputes with his fists and his feet.  Peppone was as big and almost as tough; he was like my Uncle Rusty. Don Camillo and Peppone as rural tough guys were also suspicious of their superiors, politicians, wealthy people, and city people. Peppone had an elementary school education but was a leader of men, including his Communist followers. Don Camillo, who came from peasants, had a high school and seminary education; his supporters came from among the tougher farmers who had little land but plenty of stubbornness, and from the women with traditional Italian values. The richer and more refined people of the area liked Don Camillo as little as they liked Peppone.

Don Camillo of course had the greatest ally – Christ Himself. Guareschi had the crucified Christ above the altar in his church advise, berate, and praise Don Camillo depending upon what he did.

The French/Italian comedian Fernandel starred as Don Camillo in films that followed the plots of five of the six Don Camillo books. Fernandel was of peasant stock himself, and he made a good Don Camillo. I searched in vain on the Net for footage of where he and Peppone slugged the hell out of each other in the bell tower of his church (the dispute was over Peppone’s desire to have his son baptized with the names of Communist leaders to spite Don Camillo), and the bells kept ringing because one or both of them would slam into the bell pull cable during the fight.

Fernandel, who played Don Camillo, and Italian actor Gino Cervi, who played Peppone, looked like two tough customers.

 

Guareschi’s books have been released as PDFs by fans of his, and I’m assuming they have the OK of his family to do. So as a little present from Giovanni to you, I am enclosing two PDFs – one for “The Little World of Don Camillo” and the other titled “Don Camillo and His Flock.”

Guareschi’s formula continued thru two more books, then the last two were novels with different styles. “Comrade Don Camillo” is about how Don Camillo blackmails Peppone into including him on a trip of Italian Communists to the Soviet Union. It switches from hilarity to tears almost chapter by chapter as Guareschi eviscerates Communism but shows the decency of the people – including their attractive and patriotic Russian female tour guide – who had to live under it. The book has a tragedy near the end, but ultimately a happy and unexpected ending. It is a triumph!

“Don Camillo and the Flower Children,” released in 1969 just after Guareschi died, dealt with the changing morals of the 1960s and how they affected Don Camillo and Peppone. Peppone’s youngest son is a biker hellion, and Don Camillo’s tarty niece is the darling of the rival biker gang. Don Camillo has to deal with a pushy leftist priest and Peppone has to deal with Communist Party bureaucrats who were too young or cowardly to fight in WWII.

If you like the excerpts that follow – one an “ordinary time” story and the other a Christmas story, you will love these two books. Watch out for the story of Maroli and little Rosa …. it will tear at your heart.

THE AVENGER

Smilzo rode up on his racing bicycle and braked it by letting his rear end slip off the seat backwards and stop the wheel. Don Camillo was sitting reading the newspaper on the bench in front of the rectory. He looked up. “Does Stalin hand you down his trousers?” he asked placidly.

Smilzo handed him a letter, touched his cap, leaped on his bicycle and was about to disappear around the corner when he slowed down. “No, the Pope does that,” he called, then stood on his pedals and was gone in a flash. Don Camillo had been expecting the letter. It contained an invitation to the inauguration ceremony of the People’s Palace, with a program of the festivities enclosed. Speeches, reports, a band and refreshments. Then in the afternoon: “Great Boxing Match between the Heavyweight Champion, of the Local Section, Comrade Gagotti Mirco, and the Heavyweight Champion of the Provincial Federation, Comrade Gorlini Anteo.”

Don Camillo went off to discuss the event. “Lord!” he exclaimed, when he had read the program aloud. “If this isn’t vile! If Peppone weren’t an utter boor, he would stage the return match between the Knights and the Dynamos instead of this pommeling bout! I’m going to . . .”

“You’re entirely wrong,” Christ interrupted him. “It’s perfectly logical of Peppone to try something different. Even if his champion loses, he is still all right: one comrade fights another; it all remains in the family. But if your team beat his, it would be detrimental to the prestige of his party. Don Camillo, you must admit that Peppone couldn’t possibly have staged a return match.”

“And yet,” exclaimed Don Camillo, “I did stage a match against his team, and what’s more, I lost it!”

“But, Don Camillo,” Christ put in gently, “you don’t represent a party. Your team was not defending the colors of the Church. Or do you perhaps think that that Sunday afternoon defeat was a defeat for the Catholic Faith?”

Don Camillo began laughing. “Lord,” he protested, “You’ve got me wrong if You accuse me of any such idea. I was only saying, as a sportsman, that Peppone is a boor. And so You will forgive me if I laugh when his famous champion gets such a licking that by the third round he won’t know his own name.”

“Yes, I shall forgive you, Don Camillo. But I find it less easy to forgive your enjoying the spectacle of two men pounding each other with their fists.”

Don Camillo raised his arms. “I have never done anything of the kind. Such manifestations of brutality only foster that cult of violence which is already too deeply rooted in the minds of the masses. I agree with You in condemning any sport in which skill is subordinated to brute force.”

“Bravo, Don Camillo,” said Christ. “If a man feels the need to limber his muscles, he doesn’t have to fight with his neighbor. He can put on a pair of well-padded gloves and take it out on a sack of sawdust or a ball suspended somewhere.”

“Exactly,” agreed Don Camillo, crossing himself quickly and hurrying away.

A little later he passed through the church again. “Will you satisfy My curiosity, Don Camillo?” called Christ. “What is the name of that leather ball which you have attached to the ceiling of your attic?”

“I believe it is called in English a ‘punching bag’,” muttered Don Camillo, stopping for a moment.

“And what does that mean?” “I don’t know any English,” replied Don Camillo, making a quick escape.

Don Camillo attended the inaugural ceremony of the People’s Palace, and Peppone accompanied him personally upon a tour of the entire grounds; it was all thoroughly up-to-date. “What do you think of it?” asked Peppone, who was burbling with joy.

“Charming!” replied Don Camillo, smiling cordially. “To tell you the truth I never would have thought that a simple builder like Brusco could have done it.”

“True enough!” muttered Peppone, who had spent God only knew how much for the best architect in the city.

“Quite a good idea to make the windows horizontal instead of perpendicular,” observed Don Camillo. “The ceilings are not very high but it’s not too obvious. And this I suppose is the warehouse.”

“It’s the Assembly Room,” Peppone explained.

“Ah! And have you put the armory and the cells for dangerous adversaries in the basement?”

“No,” replied Peppone. “We haven’t any dangerous adversaries, they are all harmless little people who can remain in circulation. As for an armory, we thought we would use yours if we needed to.”

“An admirable idea,” agreed Don Camillo politely. “You have been able to see for yourself how well I look after the Tommy gun which you entrusted to my care, Mr. Mayor.”

They had pulled up in front of a huge picture representing a man with a heavy walrus mustache, small eyes and a pipe. “Is that one of your dead leaders?” asked Don Camillo, respectfully.

“That is someone who is very much among the living and when he comes you will end up sitting on the lightning rod of your own church.”

“Too high a position for a humble parish priest. The highest position in a small community always belongs to the Mayor, and from now on I put it at your complete disposal.”

“Are we to have the honor of your presence among us at the boxing match today, Reverend Sir?” asked Peppone, thinking it best to change the subject.

“Thank you, but you had better give my seat to someone who is better qualified to appreciate the innate beauty and educational significance of the performance. But I’ll be available at the rectory in case your champion needs the Last Rites. Just send Smilzo and I can be with you within a couple of minutes.”

During the afternoon, Don Camillo chatted for an hour with Christ and then asked to be excused: “I’m a bit sleepy and I think I’ll take a nap. And I thank You for making it rain cats and dogs. The crops needed it.”

“And moreover, according to your hopes, it will prevent many people from coming to Peppone’s celebration,” added Christ. “Am I right?”

Don Camillo shook his head. But the rain, heavy though it was, didn’t dampen Peppone’s festivities: people flocked from every section of the countryside, and the gymnasium of the People’s Palace was as full as an egg. “Champion of the Federation” was a fine title and Bagotti was popular in the region. And then it was also to a certain extent a match between town and country, and that aroused interest. Peppone surveyed the crowd triumphantly from the front row. He was sure that at the worst Bagotti could only lose on points, which would be almost as good as a victory. On the stroke of four, after an outburst of applause and yelling, the gong was sounded and the audience began to get tense and excited.

The federal champion surpassed Bagotti in style, but Bagotti was quicker and the first round left the audience breathless. Peppone was pouring with sweat and looked as if he had swallowed dynamite. The second round began well for Bagotti, who took the offensive, but suddenly he went down in a heap and the referee began the count.

“No,” bawled Peppone, leaping to his feet. “It was below the belt!” The federal champion smiled sarcastically at Peppone. He shook his head and touched his chin with his glove.

“No!” bellowed Peppone in exasperation, drowning the uproar of the audience. “You all saw it! First he hit him low, and when the pain made him double up he gave him a left to the jaw! It was a foul!” The federal champion shrugged his shoulders and snickered, and meanwhile the referee, having counted up to ten, was grasping the fallen champion’s hand in order to pull him to his feet.

Then the tragedy occurred. Peppone threw away his hat and in one bound was in the ring and advanced with clenched fists upon the federal champion. “I’ll show you,” he howled. “Give it to him, Peppone,” yelled the infuriated crowd.

The boxer put up his fists, and Peppone fell upon him like a Panzer and struck hard. But Peppone was too furious, and his adversary dodged him easily and slugged him one right on the point of the jaw. He put all his weight behind it, as Peppone just stood there motionless and wide open; it was like hitting a sack of sawdust. Peppone slumped to the floor and the audience froze into silence.

But just as the champion smiled compassionately at the giant lying prone on the mat, there was a terrific yell from the crowd as a man entered the ring. Without even bothering to remove his drenched raincoat or cap, he seized a pair of gloves lying on a stool in the corner, pulled them on, and standing on guard squarely before the champion aimed a terrific blow at him. The champion dodged it and danced round the man who simply revolved slowly. Then the champion launched a formidable blow. The other barely moved but parried with his left while his right shot forward like a thunderbolt; the champion was unconscious when he hit the center of the ring. The crowd went crazy.

It was the bellringer who brought the news to the rectory, and Don Camillo had to leave his bed to open the door because the bellringer seemed to be insane, and if he hadn’t been allowed to pour out the whole story from A to Z, there seemed every reason to fear that he would blow up.

Don Camillo went downstairs to report.

“Well?” Christ asked. “How did it go?”

“A very disgraceful brawl; such a spectacle of disorder and immorality as You can’t imagine!”

 “Anything like that time when they wanted to lynch your referee?” asked Christ casually.

Don Camillo laughed. “’Referee, my foot! In the second round Peppone’s champion slumped like a sack of potatoes. Then Peppone himself jumped into the ring and went for the victor. Naturally, although he is as strong as an ox, he’s such a hothead that he slugs like a Zulu or a Russian, and the champion gave him one on the jaw that laid him out cold.”

“And so this is the second defeat his section has suffered.”

“Two for the section and one for the federation,” chuckled Don Camillo. “Because that was not the end! No sooner had Peppone gone down than another man jumped into the ring and fell upon the victor. Must have been somebody from one of the neighboring villages, a fellow with a beard and a mustache who put up his fists and struck out at the federal champion.”

 “And I suppose the champion dodged and struck back and the bearded man went down too and added to the brutal exhibition,” Christ remarked.

“No! The man was as impregnable as an iron safe. So the champion began dodging round trying to catch him off guard and finally, zac! he puts in a straight one with his right. Then I feinted with the left and caught him square with the right and left the ring!”

 “And what had you to do with it?”

“I don’t understand . . .”

“You said: ‘I feinted with the left and caught him square with the right’.”

 “I can’t imagine how I came to say such a thing.”

Christ shook His head. “Could it possibly be because you were the man who struck down the champion?”

“It wouldn’t seem so,” said Don Camillo gravely, “I have neither beard nor mustache.”

“But those of course could be acquired so that the crowd wouldn’t suspect that the parish priest is interested in the spectacle of two men fighting in public with their fists!”

Don Camillo shrugged. “All things are possible, Lord, and we must also bear in mind that even parish priests are made of flesh and blood.”

Christ sighed. “We are not forgetting it, but if parish priests are made of flesh and blood they themselves should never forget that they are also made of brains. Because if the flesh and blood parish priest wishes to disguise himself in order to attend a boxing match, the priest made of brains prevents him from giving an exhibition of violence.”

Don Camillo shook his head. “Very true. But You should also bear in mind that parish priests, in addition to flesh and blood and brains, are also made of another thing. And when that other thing sees a Mayor sent flat before all his own people by a swine from the city who has won by hitting below the belt — which is a sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance — that other thing takes the priest of flesh and blood and the priest of brains and sends the lot of them into the ring.”

Christ nodded. “You mean to say that I should bear in mind that pariah priests are also made of heart?”

“For the love of Heaven,” exclaimed Don Camillo. “I never presume to advise You. But I would point out that nobody knows the identity of the man with the beard.”

 “Nor do I then,” replied Christ with a sigh, “but I wonder if you have any idea of the meaning of ‘punching bag’?”

“My knowledge of the English language has not improved, Lord,” replied Don Camillo.

“Well, then we must be content without knowing even that,” said Christ smiling. “After all, culture in the long run often seems to do more harm than good. Sleep well, champ.”

 

 

APPOINTMENT AT MIDNIGHT

At last, the big river returned to its bed and the people were busy putting their land and homes in order. A thick autumn fog hung over the drenched valley but everyone felt the danger had passed and that above the mist, the sky was serene. And so, in fact, it was; but just as surely as the waters receded and the threat of the flood passed so did trouble of another kind flare up in the village.

It had all begun one day in July, when Peppone and his gang appeared in full force at the rectory. “We want a Te Deum!” Peppone shouted. “A public thanksgiving. Someone has shot at our national Leader.”

Don Camillo was perplexed. “I understand,” he said calmly, “but I don’t see why we should hold a service of thanksgiving just because a poor devil has been shot. Say what you like, he’s a human being.”

Peppone clenched his fists. “We want to give thanks because he wasn’t killed! And don’t try to be funny, because we’re in a state of national emergency. So here’s the plan. You organize the Te Deum, complete with music, singing, flowers, curtains, lighting effects, and bells, and announce it by means of a poster with an angel on either side on the church door. Meanwhile we’ll print leaflets and put them prominently on display. Then we’ll see who shows up. Everyone that fails to show up is a filthy reactionary. We’ll take down names of the absent and then make a series of house-to-house visits.”

“Well spoken, Chief,” Smilzo said solemnly. “We must first identify and then punish all those guilty of incitement to public disorder. The people have had quite enough!”

Don Camillo looked over at him. “Are you going to list names?” he asked.

“Of course,” said Smilzo.

“Then put mine down at the head of the list, because I won’t be at the thanksgiving service.”

Peppone pushed his hat back on his head and put his hands on his hips. “So you refuse to publicly thank the Almighty for having saved an honest man from an attempted crime, is that it?”

“No. I won’t let a religious service give you and your hotheads an excuse to beat up innocent people. If you really want to thank the Almighty, come with your friends and I’ll say a Mass, just as I did yesterday when Gigino Forcella fell off the roof without getting a single scratch on his body.”

Peppone brought his fist down on the table. “The people want a solemn ceremony, a Te Deum, I tell you, not just an everyday Mass. This is a cause for national thanksgiving.”

“The thanksgiving is a strictly private affair,” Don Camillo insisted. “Every good Christian should rejoice when his neighbor is saved from danger, to be sure. But by your reasoning Gigino Forcella’s family was entitled to a Te Deum, too.”

Peppone’s face looked like an advertisement for apoplexy. “How can you mention Gigino Forcella in the same breath with our Leader? Gigino doesn’t interest anyone outside his own family anyhow. And our Leader is known the world over.”

Don Camillo was not impressed. “Gigino Forcella’s family is a small one, while that of your Leader is made up of several million people. That’s the only difference. It’s a bigger family, if you like, but it doesn’t include the whole nation. If the local members of your Leader’s family want me to say a special Mass, I’ll be glad to oblige them. But in view of the threats you made a few minutes ago it will have to be a purely family affair. I won’t have anyone that doesn’t belong to your Party in the church. Otherwise I should be abetting your blackmail. People must come to church of their own free will and not because of the fear of punishment. The church is no place for political propaganda.”

Smilzo pulled the visor of his cap around to one side, put his hands on his hips and looked up at Don Camillo. “Look who’s talking!” he said with a leer. “If there happened to be a God, He’d freeze you to the ground for such a shameless lie.”

As for Peppone, he was bursting with things to say but didn’t know where to begin. “You Judas!” he shouted. “You’ve sold Christ for thirty American dollars!”

“Don’t pay him any attention, Chief,” Smilzo begged him. “Certain people can’t be treated any other way.” He took a notebook out of his pocket, licked the point of his pencil and wrote something down. “Don Camillo!” he said. “Exclamation point! Now that you’re on my blacklist not even the Almighty can save you!”

And Peppone added: “Keep your Te Deums and your Masses as well. The Party has no use for your Madonna and saints. And here’s what I’ll do to the next Party member that sets foot in your church!” So saying, he picked up a chair and crushed the backboard of it in his fingers, looking straight into Don Camillo’s eyes.

“Mind you get it mended now,” Don Camillo said calmly. Peppone made no answer, but turned on his heels, and walked out, followed by his gang, who slammed the door behind them. A moment later Smilzo came back, with a defiant look on his face, picked up the chair and bore it away. He held his head high and his chest stuck out, and he strutted as triumphantly as if he represented the inevitable onward march of the proletarian revolution. Don Camillo got his chair back but Peppone and Peppone’s followers and their families stayed away from church.

Three months later Bigio had a baby, but as he was a Party member the question of a baptism never came up. When Bigio saw the priest coming he dodged out of the way, but one evening Don Camillo managed to stop him. “If it’s in obedience to Party orders that you’re not coming to church, transeat, I can let that go by. Your sins are on your own conscience. But you let your son come at least once in his life, to be baptized. Or have you already enrolled him in the Party?” Bigio, who was the most reasonable of the gang, threw out his arms. “The order goes for the whole family,” he said. “If the Chief were to know that I’d had my baby baptized he’d take my hide off.”

“Peppone doesn’t have to know,” Don Camillo suggested. That night they brought the baby to him for a clandestine baptism. That was all Don Camillo managed to achieve, but he was not discouraged. “Lord,” he said to Christ, at the altar, “I’m waiting for Christmas. In all the years that I’ve been here they’ve never missed the Midnight Mass. A few years ago, when Giubai was wanted by the police, he came on Christmas Eve and I saw him in the far corner, with his coat collar turned up all around his face. Lord, just have confidence in me!”

“I’ve always had confidence in you,” Christ said to him with a smile, “but can you have confidence in yourself?”

“Well … to a certain extent. I have more faith in You.”

 

As Christmas approached Don Camillo tried to find out which way the wind was blowing, and word came back to him that husbands and wives were arguing over the question, with the wives maintaining that on Christmas Eve they really must break the rule. As the time grew shorter and shorter, the arguments became more and more heated, until finally the women flatly declared: “We and the children are going to church; you can do what you please.” Peppone, whose wife had given him an unforgettable kick in the shins, was well aware of what was brewing and finally decided to leave the women and children free while the men kept up the boycott.

They had said they wouldn’t set foot in the church, and they would stick to their word. In order to prevent any last-minute weakening Peppone summoned the men to an appointment in the People’s Palace. There they would answer the challenge of the Midnight Mass with a democratic “midnight cell meeting,” whose ceremonial would consist of readings from the classics of the religion of Marx and Lenin and selected passages from such great democrats as Stalin and his ilk.

 When Christmas Eve came the church was filled with candlelight and singing, while on the hard benches of the bare People’s Palace the men listened to Peppone reading things none of them understood. Every now and then the wind blew a few notes from the church organ against the closed windows.

The Mass was over early, because something was tormenting Don Camillo’s mind. When he was left alone in the church he took off his vestments and padlocked the church door. He walked up and down for several minutes and then stopped before Christ on the Cross. “Lord,” he said. “Did You see?”

“Yes, I saw,” Christ answered. “You were over-confident. You relied too much on your own powers.”

“No, that isn’t it,” said Don Camillo. “I pinned all my faith on You.”

 “And so now you’ve lost your faith, is that it then?”

“Never!” said Don Camillo indignantly. “If a starving man sees a crust of bread on the table before him, he can’t just sit tight and say: ‘I knew God wouldn’t let me die of hunger.’ God isn’t going to put it in his mouth; he must stretch out his hand. To have faith that God will provide doesn’t dispense a fellow from using his head. If the bread doesn’t jump into his mouth, he has to go get it. The Scriptures tell us that if the mountain doesn’t go to Christ, then Christ will go to the mountain.”

Christ smiled. “Only it’s not Me, it’s Mohammed,” he objected.

“Forgive me,” said the chagrined Don Camillo, “I only meant…”

“There’s nothing to forgive, Don Camillo. It’s not words that count, it’s intentions.”

Don Camillo ran his big hand over his forehead and looked up at Christ. But he was thinking of Mohammed, and Christ knew it and smiled.

 “Comrades,” Peppone was saying, “as a fitting close to this meeting at which we have borne witness to our democratic faith, I shall read you a masterly profile of Mao Tse-tung…”

Just then the door opened and in came a powerfully built man in a heavy coat, who made his way like a tank through the benches on which the men were sitting, went up onto the platform where Peppone was holding forth and set a gray-green box on the speaker’s table.

All the men in the front rows recognized the box immediately. They had seen it during the war, when Don Camillo risked German bullets in order to visit them up in the mountains. And automatically they rose to their feet. Don Camillo lifted the lid off the box, and there was his field altar. Peppone stepped quickly down from the platform, and a moment later, when Don Camillo turned around and grunted, Smilzo proudly leapt up beside him. As he had done so many times in the old days, he helped the priest don his vestments, lit the candles and knelt down at one side of the altar to serve him.

It was a simple Mass, military style, and of an almost clandestine character. But they had put out the lights in the hall, so that the candles on the little altar stood out in the dark. The organ notes that had blown against the closed windows were still vibrating and from the towers of church and town hall the chimes echoed through the valley while the golden wings of the great angel seemed to spread over the little world.
