Toward the end of the “Wizard of Oz,” Dorothy’s dog Toto pulled back the curtain to reveal the Wizard as a scam artist.
Someone similar happened recently. Someone made sex offender charges against Harvey Weinstein that the media finally saw fit to print.
Actress Rose McGowan, who the lecherous film exec settled out of court with when she charged he sexually abused her, and two other of Weinstein’s victims were finally believed. Their charges went viral when the New York Times published them in early October.
Harvey gave all kinds of money to various Democrats.
The Obamas let their daughter Malia intern for Harvey Weinstein recently.
Obama’s own mother Stanley Ann Dunham (no apparent relation to ugly exhibitionist Lena Dunham) was a model for pornographer Frank Marshall Davis. This is why some charge Davis and not Obama Senior was Barry’s natural father. There’s a silver lining to this for BO. If Frank Davis actually was Barry’s babydaddy, then since Davis was born in Kansas, the birther thing goes away.
Weinstein isn’t the only sex offender who gives big to the party of the Clintons. Most actors and actresses, TV and movie execs, musicians, and music business execs donate to leftist politicians. There has been no push from the Democrats who run the justice system in New York and California to do anything about the child molesting and rapes of girls, boys, and young women that these entertainment industry vermin commit.
Ironically, two presidents have showbiz backgrounds — Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump. But they are far outside the mainstream of entertainment business groupthink. “Old Hollywood” stars who were friends of Reagan helped him, but most of Hollywood attacked him. Virtully no one in the entertainment business who is big has had anything but hatred to spew at Trump. Espousing leftist politics, like covering up for powerful sex offenders, keeps you working in showbiz.
As the picture shows, Harvey Weinstein’s money really arouses Hillary. She and her foundation are refusing to give back any of the money Weinstein gave her.
The same with other Democrats who got Harveywood money. Those who are “giving up” funds are routing the cash to other political groups with similar goals to theirs, so it is a sham.
Harvey Weinstein gave big money to Planned Parenthood. Why not? He doesn’t want to pay child support, so they need to be available to abort the results of his exploitation. The Planned Parenthood Nazis aren’t giving up Harvey’s blood money either.
Harvey’s money even got Lisa Bloom, the phony feminist attorney daughter of feminist ambulance chaser Gloria Allred, to whore for him. Rose McGowan charged the female shyster offered her $6 million to support Weinstein publicly when he started to take incoming fire. Rose turned it down. Rose also shamed actresses and actors who are friends or enablers or servicers of Weinstein for their silence.
Bosses of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science booted Harvey from their club in an obvious damage control move.
Roman (Child Rapist) Polanski is still a member of this group.
The truth is Hollywood and New York and the entertainment industry as a whole are full of sexual predators. They promise good roles or good gigs to actresses and actors, singers, dancers, and other performers in exchange for sex. Sometimes they don’t even offer options. They just abuse their victims. Harvey is far from alone.
Does Michael Jackson ring any bells?
Or Woody Allen?
Or any number of people I could name here?
The perversion in the performing arts goes back to before the time of Christ.
In America, the abuse of aspiring girls in the stage, screen, and singing arts is long-standing and infamous.
Judy Garland was given amphetamines by her own mother and later by studio people so she could keep working and they could keep profiting from her talent. Studio boss Louis B. Mayer molested her repeatedly. Reportedly so did others.
Even sunny Shirley Temple, who made the studios even more money, was targeted for sexual abuse by movie director Arthur Freed. He exposed himself to her when she was 12, and only her innocence saved her. She started to laugh, and he threw her out of his office. Freed thought he could force Shirley, whose most profitable days as a child actress were over, into having sex with him in exchange for providing her new work. On the same studio grounds, at the same time, Louis B. Mayer was trying to seduce her mother. Mrs. Temple got herself and Shirley the heck out of there.
Three other movie execs tried to molest Shirley when she was a teen. In her book “Child Star,” Shirley recounted she ran around and around the office furniture of David O. Selznick to escape that aging perv. She said she eluded a guy she called “The Wizard” (thought to be producer Samuel Engel) on a sleeping car of a train, and then kneed him in the crotch when he tried to tackle her in a house. She also noted she kneed George Jessel in the crotch and struck him across the face when he tried to lift her skirt a few weeks later. Shirley, who once was punished by her parents for using a slingshot to bounce a pebble off the large rump of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, was used to standing up for herself. Shirley, after divorcing a cheating and beating actor husband she married at 17, had a background check done on suitor Charles Black, a war hero Navy officer and a businessman. He passed it, she dated and married him, and they lived happily together until his death in 2005. Shirley herself went from Little Miss Marker to Little Missus Poker Face in helping him in his enterprises. (Black, a vet of WWII and Korea, shown with Shirley, was a real man, not a pretty boy.)
Shirley was Our Gal in Prague who helped undermine the Reds in 1989. Dealing with Communists and Democrats as an adult politician and ambassadress would came easy for Shirley after she kneed Hollywood in the crotch.
I’m not going to list all the real victims at this point, nor the actresses who may be fibbing for some notoriety. Not enough space.
All I’ll say is there are probably fewer actresses, female singers, and female models who have not been sexually abused in some way than those who have been abused. This means entertainment management people fit the profile of sexual abusers.
And for boy actors, I’ll estimate at least a quarter of them have been sexual assault victims of male entertainment executives or male actors. Not that they think there’s anything wrong with raping boys.
Why did the New York Times, of all media, whose execs still display a Pulitzer Prize given to one of their writers for falsely denying Stalin’s holocaust against the peasantry of Ukraine, print the expose? After all, New York Times bosses spiked a story about Weinstein’s sexual predation in 2004, then-reporter Sharon Waxman said. Weinstein was a big advertiser for the Times.
It was there for the taking because NBC execs spiked an investigative article on Weinstein by Ronan Farrow. Ronan is a son of Mia Farrow, who accused her shack-up Woody Allen of molesting Ronan’s sister Dylan. However, Mia is a supporter of child rapist Rajmund Liebling aka Roman Polanski.
When, on the set of “The View,” child actor and molestation victim Corey Feldman told parents to watch out for their kids if they were intending on letting them perform in Hollywood, Barbara Walters cut him off, crabbing, “You’re damaging an entire industry!” Unlike Mia Farrow, Baabaa Waawaa has been consistent. She is a supporter of Woody Allen.
In 2014, director Amy Berg had trouble getting “An Open Secret,” her documentary about child molesters in the film industry, to the market. She got Oscar mention for her 2006 film “Deliver Us From Evil,” about how homosexual clergymen molested boys. Hypocrisywood at its most typical.
Per the 10/18/2017 New York Post, “In 2014, SAG-AFRTA threatened to sue Berg over “An Open Secret” unless she cut all references to the (actor’s) union’s Young Performers Committee, along with most of her interview with one of Hollywood’s most vocal watchdogs. It’s clear why SAG-AFTRA was alarmed: In her doc, Berg reveals that convicted child molesters still openly work in Hollywood, with children, today.”
Jane Fonda said it wasn’t her place to criticize Weinstein even though she knew about him. Then the aging publicity whore changed her tune when dozens came out against Weinstein.
Jane, who played a prostitute in the movie “Klute” because she said she needed the money, apparently has had little acquaintance with the concept of decorum, let alone morality. Jane Fonda, who reported her greatest disappointment in life was not getting entered by Che Guevara, said she wasn’t sexually abused by Harvey.
Ms. Fonda said when she was married to French movie director Roger Vadim, she picked up other women so they could have threesomes. Her biographer Patricia Bosworth wrote Fonda, when asked about her sexual activities with males and females, said, “Frankly, I’ve probably done everything.”
Including servicing the enemy. Jane posed in a North Vietnamese antiaircraft gun during the Vietnam War. She called POWs “hypocrites and liars” and denied the Communists used torture as a policy. There are many Vietnam vets who wish Jane instead of Mary Jo Kopechne had taken a late evening drive with Teddy Kennedy.
Jane also owns another dubious distinction. Women sued Jane for sexual discrimination against women because she paid them less at her workout salons than she paid men doing the same work. When Jane is whore or a phony, she’s not acting.
Females who willingly perform sex acts to get better roles or better deals pose other issues. If they are girls, then they are a least statutory rape victims. A girl doesn’t have the judgment or life experience a woman has. That’s why girls and boys below a certain age are off limits by law. A large number of actresses are saying they performed sex acts or refused to report their victimization because it started so early with them they thought it was a part of growing up. Also, a lot of conniving parents use their kids as meal tickets and make them clam up to protect the cash flow.
The compliant girls also unwittingly put pressure on girls who would rather not let a man or an adult lesbian do something evil to them. The predators are used to getting their way, and they can lean on the reluctant.
(This goes for boys too. A childhood friend of mine really really wanted to make it in Hollywood. He was a gymnast and a fit-looking Chippendale guy, but was not talented enough to be a convincing male lead in conventional films or TV. So he did homosexual pornography.)
Women who perform sex acts for execs pose a different problem. While these acts are socially acceptable forms of prostitution in the entertainment industry, the women who perform them are like athletes who use steroids to get unfair advantages on their peers. No woman or girl should have to submit to the sexual pleasure of an exec with power (male or female) in exchange for getting roles or recording contracts or modeling gigs they should get on talent.
For example, Meryl Streep called Harvey Weinstein a god. What, if anything, did she willingly give up to get roles Weinstein gave her? What roles did she get that another actress could have gotten?
Why did teen actress Sally Fields get better acting roles than her peers Lynette Winter (Larue on “Gidget”) or Kathy Garver (Cissy on “Family Affair”) or Lori Saunders or Gunilla Hutton or Linda Kaye Henning of “Petticoat Junction” or Bridget Hanley of “Here Come the Brides?”
Or, for you younger readers, consider “American Idol.” Why did quirky but talented Siobhan Magnus get bumped from the show after a performance that smoked her competitors? Or why did Isabelle Parell, the talented and wholesome girl who got singer and judge Keith Urban to be her foil when she sang “Baby It’s Cold Outside” not go far in the show? Had they rebuffed anyone who demanded something inappropriate of them?
I don’t know the answers to these questions. But when you factor in the concept of reward for sexual submission or at least being willing to keep a rebuff to such a move by someone with power quiet, then things get a lot more perverted, ugly, mean, and exploitative. Public knowledge that trading sex for career help exists and is tolerated hurts the reputations of those who get the plum roles or good gigs because there is the perception they stripped for success.
None of this is any good for those who want to make a living performing for the public.
The current Los Angeles’ City Attorney (who I don’t name because he’s a nonentity) claims he’ll want to prosecute Harvey Weinstein, but prosecutors in that county are totally without credibility. That agency’s people even allowed Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman to plead guilty to a misdemeanor involving child pornography.
Besides, a city attorney can only prosecute misdemeanor and not felony charges. The fix is already in, in my opinion.
The L.A. County District Attorney, another nonentity, whose people can prosecute felony cases, hasn’t been loud on this case. She’s a Democrat, and Hollywood money helps Democrats.
Marcia Clark has slithered out of the rocks to sun herself and soak up some attention. She says Weinstein should expect criminal charges. Her dismal failure in prosecuting O.J. Simpson for double murder is typical of the weak effort against a celeb I’d expect from California prosecutors.
New York County (Manhattan) District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., a Democrat operative whose father was the failed Secretary of State when Jimmy Carter was president, refused to bring charges against Weinstein in 2015 when a model filed charges with New York City police and they backed her. Weinstein’s lawyer David Boies, who also was Al Gore’s lawyer, donated money to Vance’ re-election fund.
When I was a boy, the actress who got my attention was Hayley Mills, the Disney cutie of “Pollyanna,” “Parent Trap,” and “Moon Spinners” fame. Over the years my favorite female actress has been Barbara Hale, who played Della Street in “Perry Mason.” (Barbara said she was glad there wasn’t a romantic angle to her character. She said she didn’t want her boys seeing her nuzzle someone other than their Dad.)
My favorite female TV personality right now is Pamela Childs. She’s older and no bombshell, but she’s a big force for good. She’s the big-hearted black Chicago police detective you may have seen on TV finding lost people and helping abused children. And unlike actresses, she’s a real hero.
Maybe that’s the way we should go. Real. Watch shows on crime or police and fire work, or shows on nature, or on history, or on travel if we want TV. I’m guessing Marlon Perkins might have been gored on Wild Kingdom (and covered by Mutual of Omaha). But I’m betting he never molested anyone in his show.
On the Justice Channel, which carries Detective Childs’ work, an ad for St. Jude’s Hospital, which provides free treatment for children with cancer, shows a cancer-stricken child saying, “They never do give up on a kid.” Nor should we.
There needs to be federal prosecution of the entertainment industry vermin in Hollywood, New York and elsewhere for their systematic commission of sex offenses. State officials are incapable of doing the job. Plus, there are some interstate implications, including possible Mann Act violations.
Donald Trump doesn’t owe Hollywood any favors.
Nor does Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Nor does ill-tempered New Jersey governor and former federal prosecutor Chris Christie, who could become the irate and relentless face of this prosecution.
They are reviled in Hollywood, so there is nothing stopping them from putting together a good hard federal dragnet that will send a large number of entertainment industry sexual abusers to prison, and leave their personal fortunes and the money of the studios, TV networks, and production companies and record companies and show booking companies available for victims to claim after the feds do some assets seizure and confiscation and fining.
The crime shows showing the pervs’ trials and convictions would be a TV reality show many of us would tune into faithfully. Eliot Ness and Jack Webb would be proud.
Another suggestion – mock and minimize all lectures from entertainers. And boycott the works of those who attack your values. They have no moral standing on anything. They protect child molesters and child rapists, and abusers of young women, and of some young men.
Too many in the entertainers are abusers, willing prostitutes, or victims trying to cope with abuse as they try to rise in the business without speaking out or without daring to anger those they perceive hold their careers in their slimy hands. They can’t or won’t keep their own lives in order so they have no standing to tell you how to think and live.
You can do likewise to those politicians who cover for these sexual abusers who donate to them.
What is the “how to be your own detective” lesson for this post?
The Federal Election Commission contains records on entertainment industry PACs and individuals who donate to politicians. This is how Weinstein’s donations to Obama and Hillary and other white collar criminals in politics became known. Some of these you can access on line.
Similar records at the state level, especially in California and New York, show the axis of entertainment and leftist politicians. That’s how a reporter outed Cyrus Vance Jr. You young people might not believe it, but at one time Linda Ronstadt and Jerry “Governor Moonbeam” Brown were an item. That’s how entwined Hollywood and politicians are in the Golden State. State records show Hollywood owns or rents many politicians there. That’s why protections for child actors and actresses are so minimal.
IRS records for nonprofits are also public records. That’s how Weinstein’s commercial coupling with Hillary’s and Bill’s Clinton Foundation became known. Someone looked it up by contacting the IRS with a Freedom of Information Act request.
More importantly for you, if you, or one of your children, or someone you know who is young and vulnerable wants to make it as an entertainer and has the talent, consider yourself warned. Entertainment people make promises and lie, and exploit. If your kid is that good, you will have to come along and chaperone.
And even before you allow a contract signing, check out the agent and the people your child will be working with. The Internet is a quick place to start to see if there are whisperings or open charges or facts about the people your child will be working with. And meet these people. If you don’t like the vibe, nothing doing. In most cases, your negative gut instincts about such people will be correct.
(This goes for young athletes and their parents too. McKayla Maroney the gymnast and Kayla Harrison the judo medalist were both rape victims. Parents, you have to keep an eye on those around your child and monitor your child for any odd behavior. Let them know it is more important to be safe than to be abused thinking that’s the price for success. Pervs go into coaching, teaching, youth organizations, youth ministry, and other places where they can molest children.)
Even if your children do not have world-class talent, they might fall victims to predators who are drama teachers or music teachers, or other teachers, or youth group leaders. Screen these people too.
Do not trust your children to those whose personalities will be destructive to your children. There are many nutcases who are successful coaches or entertainment execs or teachers or youth leaders. But that doesn’t mean they are the best fit for your children.
Regardless of your children’s talents, they are your children and they are children of God. Teach them how to speak up for themselves and stand up for themselves, and help them learn how to defend themselves.
Shirley Temple, despite being a small teenager, was able to blast much bigger men in the package and escape their lechery. Someone taught her how to execute, and she developed the confidence to execute. That’s where your children should be.
Homeland security begins when children and women are protected. As you can see, we have a long way to go.
You are your children’s protector and your children’s first responder. God bless and keep you!
