Sunday, September 24, Emanuel Samson, a large powerfully-built Sudan refugee with some personal issues like domestic violence incidents, decided to shoot up a Tennessee church he had attended a few times. He killed a woman in the prime of her life and wounded several other people.
(UPDATE) A 22-year-old usher named Robert Engle confronted Samson when he entered the church. Samson pistol-whipped Engle, but foolishly shot himself in the process. This allowed Engle to run to his car, get his own gun, and hold the killer at bay until police came. Police reportedly found info in Samson’s car noting his acts might be revenge for white scumbag Dylann Roof shooting black worshipers at a church in South Carolina. (Alleged killer. Samson is presumed innocent until proven guilty.) (END OF UPDATE)
Unfortunately Samson is still alive and jobless, so Tennessee taxpayers will have to house him and feed him and provide him with shrinks who will say toilet training in America was different than it was in Sudan, so maybe he went over the edge due to this injustice. Taxpayers will also pick up the tab for his defense lawyers, who will argue Samson is not guilty by reason of temporary insanity, or the whites at the church deserved it, or that police dissed him when they checked on his squabbles with his girlfriend, or some other lie.
Tennessee taxpayers will be on the hook for his incarceration. It takes awhile to execute murderers, and most of them don’t draw the death penalty anyway.
Now to the usher. In the moment the killer came gunning for church victims, Robert Engle was exactly what his church needed, a responder and a hero.
“It would appear he was not expecting a brave individual like the church usher to initiate the struggle and confrontation,” (a Nashville police spokesman) said, per a 9/25/2017 CNN article.
That’s governmentspeak for Engle showing guts in detaining a guy who shot other people and hurt him. But the police spokesperson was right. The killer didn’t expect civilian opposition.
Churches are “gun free zones.” So are schools. This is why a coward or a nutjob can kill lots of people at such places. They don’t encounter armed opposition.
Moslems attack and kill priests in churches. They also killed Malcolm X the day he didn’t have armed guards at his gathering. Dylann Roof, a scumbag who is white, murdered blacks in a church. A number of worthless people have murdered others at churches and schools because they didn’t expect armed opposition.
It used to be different.
I saw pictures of Pilgrims and pioneers in church with guns when I was a boy.
When 99 and I went to Slovakia, we saw little country Catholic churches with walls around them. The people built these walls for self defense when the Moslem Turks came to raid and kill, and carry off pretty young women and teen girls as sex slaves. Or rape these desirable females for days, then behead them and stack their heads like bowling balls, like the Turks did in Batak, Bulgaria in 1876.
New Lexington, Ohio’s own Januarius MacGahan, a cousin of General Phil Sheridan, reported this horrible atrocity to the world when he came to the village a short time later. He shamed the British government into cutting aid to the Turks.
All over the Balkans there are Catholic and Orthodox churches with such walls because of the Moslems.

Priests and preachers who self-righteously decry self-defense are cowards or ignorami who are morally responsible for any deaths or woundings their people suffer because of their stances. They are also apparently ignorant of the Gospel of Luke. Luke 22:38 notes, “They (the apostles) said, “Lord, here are two swords!” He (Christ) answered “Enough!” This was Holy Thursday.
Of course, Christ laid down His life as blood redemption for the sins of us all. But until that time, He passed through them without them being able to stop Him. He turned over money tables in the Temple precincts and took a whip to drive out livestock because He was angry over the profanation of the Temple.
Christ is God. He needed no help if He chose to defend Himself. So why would Christ let His apostles be armed, if not to defend themselves? Peter remained armed, and cut off a guy’s ear with a sword, which indicated some skill on the future first pope’s part. Christ had to rebuke Peter, because it was His time to suffer and die for us all.
These are strange times. People who belong in asylums wander the streets because the ACLU and groups like them fought the commitment of people who clearly need it.
Criminals who belong in prisons stalk the streets because of judges, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and groups like the ACLU.
Moslems and gangbangers from other countries stalk the streets because of politicians and those who own them want to drop the wage scale of American workers or add more people to welfare rolls and their party’s voter rolls or add more strangers in the name of diversity.
Many nonprofits and denominations, including my own, are involved in the corrupt racket of getting paid taxpayer money to provide refugee services. The groups do little; their plan for health and welfare is to enroll foreigners in welfare programs to leech off the locals in cities where the groups settle them. (Like the NFL, perhaps believers should take away money from their denominational hierarchy or the groups within the denomination who deal with “immigrants and refugees” and fund worthier causes with their donations.)
Public records exist on the church groups’ and other nonprofit groups’ profiteering. The US government website Fedbizopps (www.fbo.gov) shows solicitations by the feds for “refugee services” or “immigrant services”. All you have to do is see who got the contract, and for how much. If the agency doesn’t post the amount of the contract award or the winner, you can get it with a Freedom of Information request to the government agency which awarded the contract. It’s a public record. Some websites will cover this also; use good search words to locate them.
This is why Middle Eastern kids are raping little American girls in Idaho. And this is why Somalis are heating up the crime scene in blond, blue-eyed Scandinavian Minnesota. Your government and nonprofit groups (whose top dogs make big jack) dropped them there.
In strange times like these, you have to account for threats from many directions. As adults, think about how you would have to defend your family in case of a church attack, or an attack at a shop, at a school event, or at a sporting event.
Work on your situational awareness. Preparedness people call this “establishing a baseline” for what are normal behaviors and what are abnormal or disruptive or threatening behaviors at any place. Be alert for things that should happen and don’t, or things that shouldn’t happen but do. Figure out whether fleeing, sheltering, or fighting is best, then act.
The people in the church might have Bible-thumped Samson by throwing many Good Books at him to distract him, interfere with his aim, hurt him, or trip him. Then some might have jumped him if they had thought of it.
I’m not second-guessing the victims. They never thought some dirtbag would shoot up their congregation. They were caught unaware, just like the 9-11 victims. Only those aboard Flight 93 reacted because they heard what the Saudi Moslems intended to do with the planes from their loved ones who they called.
Reacting to danger is about you. Do you think about potential attacks? Do you carry? If not a firearm, at least a knife or a Crescent wrench or mace or hair spray or some other aerosol-driven product that could blind an attacker?
I’ve never had to disarm an armed attacker in a church. But I did take out one younger guy because he came into the church during Communion and accosted elderly women for money, which scared them. When I told the guy to leave, he raised his fist at me. So I rushed him and choked him and beat his head off the stone wall of the church vestibule until he stopped resisting. I then let him go and he left. I was in my early 40s at the time, have been four-eyed like Buddy Holly since I was a boy, and was hardly a threatening looking character, so I’m sure I took the guy by surprise. The ushers and parish leaders were angry with me, so 99 and I transferred to another parish. Our old parish would become plagued with such incidents because street criminals heard they were an easy mark.
You owe it to yourself and those you love to check out books on self-defense and preparedness. Get books or videos that show situational awareness drills or info. Work on your own self-defense skills by yourself or with others. A friend of ours, a Filipino from Guam, got his cute-looking children tough by working in self-defense skills like kicking, punching, and throws into his horseplay with them. He didn’t drill them; he was Dad with them. With practice, even his little girls could deliver kicks high and hard enough to render an attacker impotent, if you catch my drift.
A 11/20/2014 National Enquirer article on the JFK assassination had this nugget:
“His brains are all over the table.” Jackie overheard him. She had tried to enter Trauma Room 1, and the Secret Service attempted to hold her back. She broke free telling them, “I’m just as competent as you are.”
She was right. None of those big-talking self-styled badasses kept JFK out of harm’s way when it mattered.
Who was first to cover JFK to try to shield him?
A slender female, pretty in a pink among all those Secret Service agents did. The heroine was JFK’s wife Jackie.
JFK’s assassination made this abundantly clear:
